WOW ... great review, excellent graphics, and fearless (disassembly). ;D
I have put a link to this review over on Airsoft Ohio for all my friends to enjoy as many have been wondering about the construction and how the battery situation would work.
Thank you,
WhiteRook

I was awaiting just such a review. My order has been placed. Thanks Kalbs. Obviously I echo your desire for spare magazines and hope to see them available in time for the spring gaming season. With the mag capacity three with a speed loader should work fine given the nature of WW2 airsoft with its focus on low cap mags and restricted ammo (At least locally)
Shoots plenty hard for a sub machine gun apparently.

Yes, this gun was truelly a surprise gun. Really I had no intention of buying this, I'm a wood fan. For you custom gun builders I wanted to post the gearbox with a dimension. It has potential for other guns. I'm asking around about the spare mags for this plus note ARES is releasing PPSh stick mags in the near future.

AWESOME! I have no idea what the real rof is on an M3A1 but it's decent with the 11.1v lipoly. I tried a 9.6v in the shop and it seemed a bit slow

Wonderful review, seriously man, great job! Where did ya pick this up, and what was the price? Walk-in price is different than mail order. All shops in HK are the same price as a walk-in for HK$1800 which is about US$231. I got it from here: www.dentrinityshop.com/index_ie.jsp

i envy you kalbs. i could be wrong but you might be the first to recieve yours on the forum! the price is great too for the gun. are the weld lines actual factory welds? they say it is. the paint looks like a type of car paint, the really durable stuff that is. the green color looks excactly like parkerization thats been aged a little bit (it turns green with rinsing and cleaning).

I was thinking the same thing with regard to the guts possibly working for a carbine but decided in looking at the pictures closely it would not. The carbine demensions are extremely small. It might work if one was willing to fudge on the overall size a bit.
I am anxious to get my Greaser as I now have one on order. It is such a great edition to the armory of available weapons for the US and suits so many impressions for such a long period of history. I saw them in Vietnam and the Chinese made an exact copy which they type classified and were in the hands of VC on occassion. (Both US and Chinese clones)

Excellent review, the pictures and beakdown were fantastic. This will definately be a gun on my want list, but when do you think it will show up in the states? I'm not too crazy about ordering overseas.

I agree the Steve McQueen in Hell is for Heroes is the ultimate Grease gun flick. Still love the REMF clerk who got on the radio and pretended to be a Battalion headquarters.

for the m3a1 gearbox in a carbine...you just have to keep in mind, the m1 carbine is little more than equivelant to a pistol, and the dimentions are so small the only system in an airsoft model that can fit in is a gas blow back. that is what i consider my gbb m1 carbine to be. just like gbb pistols, the dimentions are too small for any other quality system. i would think the m3a1 would show up in US stores once spare magazines come in, at least, thats my prediction.
