Steel and wood for $200? That's a pretty amazing price. I guess it will go up once it reaches local dealers but still. I have never heard of S&T Armament though.

maybe cheaper materials? Or plastic stock... hmmmm Ares is famous for strong internals and maybe the S&T didn't care too much about that

Says all wood and steel. I thought you were saying it was actually made by Ares.

no, rebranders often add a lot of money to the original price, not cut it in half

Hmm I'm in the market for a ppsh and this seems like a good deal. But there has to be a catch! haha, what do you guys think? Worth a shot? Has anyone ever tried ordering from this company before?

Just bought one from Uncompany. List price was around $164, plus about $75 for shipping. Received the gun in one week door to door.
I fired Gordaks ST PPsh-41 at the Day of Days event and was suitably impressed, so I figured it would be worth the money.
I watched Odball's review, which covers most items. To reiterate his review, it seems that most of the metal parts are steel except for the front lower receiver that holds the drum mag. It appears to be alloy, but still seems very strong.
The gun shoots harder than my m14, and is a lot of fun to shoot. The EBB can be disabled for skirmishing, which will increase the battery life, while also reducing the strain on the EBB system. I figure I'll keep the EBB for backyard shooting.
I have many guns: M14''s, Garand's (M14 based), Thompsons (both TM & Cyber), G&G M4, CA M15A1 & M16A1's, M79, A&K M60E, MP40's, AK47's, Magpul M4, Echo1 MP5's, and other assorted weapons and I have to say this PPsh so far shoots the best stock flat out!
This gun is solid, shoots hard, very accurate, heavy, and a lot of fun to shoot. Would I buy it again, the answer is definitely yes, although I have not skirmished with it yet. I'll update this post once I field it, but I suspect it will do just fine in the field.

actually, the prob is the cylinder was shattered, all the teeth gone. Plastic cylinders suck. replaced mine with metal
