Imperial Japanese Army: Type 100 Flamethrower
I noticed a thread in the Scenario Ideas forum that was basically a shout-out to put up pics of your props for sims, so I decided I'd open up a thread here on my latest side-project, my (non-functioning) Imperial Japanese Type 100 Flamethrower. Now, I wanted to make this a vortex-block style gun, but I want to use exact measurements and the block simply will not fit inside the Type 100's odd design. Now, as I said this is a side-project, but with the release of the MGW Type 100, there will soon be a pique in IJA impressionism, so I've decided to take it on as my main project and will be setting my Vampir scope aside.
So far all I have to show is my crudely made design plans, here (all of the measurements on it are correct and to-scale):

I am planning on building (at least the backpack unit) out of PVC pipe, luckily I can get as much free PVC as I want (being the DO of a landscaping company has its benefits), and the fuel tube is going to be a 45" long, 1/2" air hose, but I need help in three areas:
1. What color should it be? I would think dark gray/black.
2. When I make the tanks out of PVC, the top & bottom will be 6" endcaps, so how can I make the tanks one consistent shape?
3. What rules would be used for this in a game if I wanted to use it? It CAN NOT shoot any form of BB, water, powder, fog. Nothing, the dimensions simply won't allow it.
BACKGROUND INFO ON THE TYPE 100 FLAMETHROWER:
The Type 100 was an improved version of the pre-WWII Type 93 flamethrower that was used very effectively in Japan's attack in China and Manchuoko. It was used extensively in the first battles of the Pacific theater, especially in the Dutch East Indies and Burma, but saw limited use later because of the offensive nature of the weapon and the defensive state of the IJA. Most every engineering division contained a flamethrower company consisting of 6-20 flamethrower operators. It was technically a two-man weapon, because if the operator wished to change the pressure it required a second person to adjust the valves and carry the operators backup weapon. It could sustain a flame for 10-12 seconds at an average range of 25 meters. Near the end of the war, due to lack of AT weapons, the IJA deployed flamethrowers as anti-tank weapons with limited success.

COMING UP AFTER THIS:
Possibly the Type 4 Rocket Launcher, if I can find some pics. Have no fear IJA impressionist, I strive to fit your needs!
