Heres my build/conversion of my Mosin Nagant 91/30 So far its going good and feel free to use this as a base for anyone looking to build one aswell. Heres all the parts needed. A Mosin 91/30 stock, Bar10/Vsr Base rifle , Rear 91/30 mosin sights, Mosin trigger guard/mag well, 1/2 inch copper or alluminum pipe at 2ft long, MP5 front sights or similar rounded sights.
Dremel out room for the trigger, make it flush with the trigger guard.
For the Mag well you need to cut the corner off using the dremel or plasma torch to accommodate room for the VSR trigger box. Make sure to remove the bottom plate/spring before cutting.
I have the mag well plate lowered to make the cuts more visible. The spring sits higher than shown.
Now that the cut is made your trigger should line up like this.
Heres the front sight and barrel. Use the middle section of the sight to attach on the barrel, cut off the original lower section that held on to the MP5 barrel. Like so.
This is the progress ive made so far, and I'll post more as i get further. I still need to dremel room for the reciever, hop section, and BB mag well. Screw and expoxy all parts in place, a Final paint job and she'll be ready to go.

Inside the copper pipe if you use gas pipe nipple you can deburr the inside and your inner barrel will slide in there and center and then that will line up perfect inside the copper pipe. epoxy it in place right near the front and it will make it look more like a barrel and less like a hollow pipe. you need one near the back end towards the hop up. I had found the triggers didn't want to fit well in the trigger guard and so milled the trigger slot wider. Be careful once you open up space near the front of the stock for your mag area it gets thin in a hurry. I recently dropped one that was almost done off a table and broke it in half there. Great start so far.

Thanks for the comments! :] In total its costed around $170-200.
Yeah, thanks for the tips on centering the barrel. I had similar plans but those will do. Its the groove on the side that makes it so thin huh?

Yeah groove on the side makes it pretty thin through there. I didn't have the base gun in it just the stock and it hit the concrete at a weird angle I guess. I've dropped them before and never had that issue. You are doing a great job so far and hopefully you will inspire some people to give ti a whirl themselves.

Well to anyone, I might make one more depending on how this one works out and would sell for around $200-250 due to labor and prices on parts.
Thats strange, well ill make sure to hold it close. Yeah since there wasnt really a conversion of a mosin I thought I'd help out for those who want to make one. Ill probably have the reciever in snug by monday.

Heres an update, The reciever is fitted in just to show how it looks so far. I loaded a couple bb's through the muzzle and fires well but today was raining so i could get any shots to find its accuracy.. A few more days and this rifle will be done. I still have to modify the reciever to look more like a mosin, change the bolt handle [later down the road], dremel room for the mag, center the barrel, and attach rear sights.

yeah it can be upgraded, its going to be held in with proper fitting screws and basicly disasembles like the normal Bar10.. but this thing is really accurate with a 5-10 inch spread at around 120ft.. but thats due to rain and wind, Weathers been bad in Southern Cali lately..

I think that I'll try the same build. Definitely let us know your mods to the receiver/bolt. That portion looks to be very challenging.
