Get ready Wehrmacht reinactors because the Maschinengewehr 42 is coming! Where is the charging handle? The detail and painted finish on this model looks too good to be a Chinese copy of the Shoei or Ultima MG42. (Well see) Stats: Electric EG700A motor 9.6 volt battery with 1500-1700 mah (Not sure if battery is included)750-950 round capacity (A drum magazine is rumored to come with the gun, however I have yet to find a picture of one)About 8 units currently under sale somewhere, two have already sold for $5900 USD. (Price is probably insane because initial productions won't be released until October....again....according to rumors.) My own questions for those who own Shoei or Ultima MG42s: 1) How do your drum magazines work? 2) If possible, how else can an AEG MG42 hold bbs if not through a drum magazine? Lets stay calm gentlemen, two months... Polski

My question is, who plopped down the $5900 for this TOY???
It's bad enough I dropped almost 2k for my Shoei.
BTW, is anybody interested in a DUMMY MG-42??

Oh nice. I'll have to get a shipment of these once they are released. They better not be that expensive though.

This is AWSOME and October is not that far off. This one I am glad to see them producing, but the price!!!! Glad they have not done the same with the GI MG's, it would put me out of business. I'm going to work on an MG 34 over the winter, but that may be soon done by these guys as well.

.. I don't have much on hand, but the single piece if intel I scored from Mongkok was that the price was going to be around 3,000 HKD or just about 400 USD. This is for sure ..

Hey if it is lower than $500 I'd buy it if it turns out to be a good gun and if they hopefully fix that charging handle

If it's an affordible, reliable mg42 who cares if it's missing the charging handle. Make one for it. There are too few ww2 airsoft guns out there that are actually able to be used in games for people to nitpick small details. Almost all issues like that can be fixed with enough creativity and a little work anyway.

I second that. We should all welcome with open arms any new addition to the WWII airsoft world. I would like you all to join me in a group gun-hug. *Hugs the MG42* On a more serious note we can see that manufacturers are starting to realize the market for WWII guns and thus I expect and hope to see a surge in the number of WWII guns produced.
I for one and excited!

5thrangerbat, It's not the chinese version of the MG-42. Valtteri, one of the users here owns that gun, he can tell more about it.

500 pieces!!! It would take a while to sell 500 of these in the US Even in the world market, unless you were the only seller, 500 would be hard to turn over Maybe you could market them to the blank fire guys who have been buying inert replicas

anyone that would drop 5900$ on that is an idiot you scould by 2 ultimas and then some for that price! Ya, the Mini-gun is only $3500 so why would a chinese MG-42 be over 5k. Reply to my deposit and reserve cop9gun: Will reserve one for you once they arrive, expecting in Nov. 2009 once our wholesales demands are clear. My experience is if they say November they really mean December. This is what happened with the MP44
