On page 16 of Ares' 2010 Buyers Guide, theres information on the PPSh, a new 1911, and a Grease Gun that will apparently be coming around soon. The Grease gun is advertised in the AEG portion of the magazine, so I can only hope its electric Seen here: galactica-online.net/AREScat2010.pdf

Very cool. At this stage any WW2 ear weapon is a plus after a draught of many many years. It appears the damn is busting. I will buy any US weapon from the period that functions well. The grease gun covers many eras of course.

If your referring to the "40%" 1911, that's 40% original size- so its a miniature...

Is the wwii cocking handle the lever on the side or the one you stick your finger in and pull back. Speaking of Garands I called Cybergun and they thought making AEG Garands was a great idea, but I wouldn't count on it

Is the wwii cocking handle the lever on the side or the one you stick your finger in and pull back. The cocking handle was on the M3 , which first saw service in 1943 , problems with the cocking handle mechanism forced modifications to the weapon , the cocking handle mechanism was replaced with a simple hole cut into the bolt , this changed the nomenclature of the weapon , from M3 to M3A1. The M3A1 first started to show up in significant numbers on the battlefield around the later part of 1944 , so basically both models are correct for WWII .

BUAHAHAHA They're making the pulse rifle from Aliens! >> WHY? ? Because believe it or not Sci-Fi geeks outnumber WWII geeks and the M40 PR is one of the weapons that the Sci-Fi community has been waiting for a long time.

The whole idea of the Grease gun of course was to create a submachine gun that like the sten was really inexcpensive to produce. Simple is in many ways better. Though no where near as elegant in appearance as the Thompson the Grease gun worked extremely well, required less care an upkeep was far lighter and soldiered on in the US army all the way through the first Gulf War where they were still present in racks in Armored Fighting vehicles.
The charging handle was frankly one more thing to produce and one more thing to have fail. Sticking the hole for you to insert your finger in and cock back was a clever design. In addition a detent in the dust cover served as a safety in that this cam protruded into the finger hole essentially preventing the bolt from going back. To fire the gun you had to first open the dust cover flap stick your finger in the recess and pull the bolt back. The actual Grease gun like the thompson hopped around quite a bit with it's 45 cal slugs and had limited range and accuracy. It could be easily converted to fire 9mm rounds incidently as the barrel assembly screwed on and off and coupld be easily replaced along with the bolt. I'm delighted to finally see someone making a Grease gun AEG as I have really missed the custom Greaser I got from Schmitty which was one of my favorite airsoft guns. I sold it three years ago on the supposedly confirmed rumor of a soon to be release inexpensive AEG Greaser. We all know how that goes. I will be all over this when it is available. Perfect for a tanker impression.

Mucho interested. I was active duty in the 70s & 80s and fired the M3A1 quite a bit. Fun as hell way to burn up taxpayer ammo.

We still had a whole arms room full of grease guns as it was issued to tank crewmen. I never got to fire one though.

Man I look forward to an AEG M3. I have a Hudson GBB that is ok, reliable and shoots hard but the finish of the all ABS construction is kinda horrid. Just looks like what it is, plastic. Plus it's strictly a 134/duster gun unless you wanna shred the bolt with red or green gas.

That is awesome. I wonder what they mean by the battery fits in magazines? Extra storage, or is that the battery compartment?

Looks like lots of batteries to buy since the magazine acts as the battery box. The gun will be cheap but mags will be a killer cost wise. I'm not complaining though, looks like another great addition.

I guess I'm confused as to how the battery in the magazine is going to work? Quick connection? Doubtful I'm afraid. Can't say that I would want to screw around with a bettery every time I changed mags. Perhaps the BBs load with thin actual magazines like electric blow back pistols. Probably it's a high capacity magazine. Either approach would be sort of a bummer but regardless if it's an electric and works reasonably well, The greaser is on the list.
Things are looking up. Kalbs you're probably going to be the first to get a reliable release date so keep your eyes and ears open and keep us posted.

I'll ask the UN guys as they seem to get the ARES stuff earlier than most. I'm with you on the battery set up, probably 8.4v AK stick but thinking the mag is a mid-capacity because a crank would take up too much room in the base of the magazine but you could be correct that it's like a elec pistol. An interesting release for sure. Battery installs from the bottom of the magazine.
