Oh yeah piece of cake, custom magazines are soooooo easy. CLUELESS OBVIOUSLY. People who have no idea how much effort and precision is required to get feeding systems to work or alter a gun or create a custom weapon make me crazy. It may be miserably difficult or slightly easier but either way customizing a magazine is really really hard. In the case of this model I don't even know if the magazine is detachable or even functional. for all we know this carbine could e gravity fed? ? We don't know at present.

I've got a 15 round magazine shell here. A 50 rd MP7 mag, once it's trimmed a bit, just fits inside it. I'm waitng with bated breath to see what the springer mag looks like.

Im glad i got one ordered while they were still in stock. Looks like Warbird Guy, Volks, Jettalewis and myself got the last ones out there. (at least for now). Anyone else? Obviously the first thing to look at is if they are worth doing anything with (performance wise). Then how hard it will be to create a pseudo WW2 carbine out of.
If they are decent Ill look into buying a case lot of them. I think the smallest batch I can buy is six but it may require a dozen. UKARMs are currently out of stock regardless. Who knows how long till they will be available again. I am really hoping they will at least be okay. The UKARMS springer M14 isn't a bad shooter and I wouldn't be surprised if the internals are identical

I don't understand why there were seven in stock a couple days ago when I tried to buy one, but they told me they were all out... now it says there's five left and people are still buying them?
@ shiftysgarand, sometimes modifying magazines takes longer than upgrading the actual gun ;D let's see you try one

I got in my order at goloud right away since they were the only place I could find that had them. they were somewhat more expensive there than on other sites but in any event a very inexpensive gamble. lowest price really doesn't mean much on backorders, pre orders or out of stock merchandise.
The distributor is out of them and said there was something of a run on them. Hmmmmm. Sgt Tom you instigated them getting cleaned out I suspect. it remains to be seen if their popularity is justified.

What I don't understand is while Tulsa Airsoft/Going Loud's website said that seven of the M1's where in stock, I tried to buy one but was told they were actually out of stock. Now after I've done that, people are in fact actually buying them? (appearently there's five left now)

Well besides 2ndBat, I purchased one and Didn't get any word on mine not being in stock. I sense a bit of bad keep-up on their website, as some others may have seen the original post and scooped one up.

So brownien, myself, jettalewis, volksturm and Warbird1 all got in before they were sold out. At least our Forum will get a diverse mix of reports so everyone else should have a good sense for whether they are a worthwhile purchase for your needs. I was hoping it would arrive today but no dice.

I ordered mine when there were "7" in stock, I called the, 3 days later because my order was still in "Processing." That is when they told me they were really out of stock...

I too ordered mine when there were 7 in stock. I have not heard anything from the shipper as yet. If the gun is half decent I plan to turn it into a paratroop carbine with a spare stock setup I have here. I also have one of the old original Marushin Springer carbines, but don't really care for that gun very much.

Yeah that's what basically happened to be (I also ordered it while 7 were in stock) @2nd Bat Let us know how it turns out, doesn't look to be half bad, maybe if they make some more of them we could start using them

Hmmmmm, now you have me concerned. My order history on the GOLOUD siteshows it as "processing". It has been a week and no word from them as to it being shipped. Hopefully my purchase got in before they were sold out. I sent them an email enquiry on the purchase status and today left them a phone message. One would think a web site would be able to inform folks immediately if something was not in stock?
I wonder how long it will take the distributor UKARMs to get another batch in. If they are decent guns i would order a case lot of them so we could have access to them. Obviously it's a fairly obscure item at least for now. I got in my para stock, sites, magazines and slings so i'm all set to pursue a possible marriage here.

Same here. Haven't heard a peep out of them yet. I hope this doesn't turn into another Evike BAR fiasco.

I called and got through to someone who seemed to know what they were talking about. They said they had a sudden and uncharacteristic "run" on these and the order teams hadn't (and apparently still isn't)keeping up the web site. They are indeed sold out and my order didn't make the cut....(thanks for the heads up! He says facetiously).
According to this representative the guns are surprisingly good have sold well and have received glowing comments with no complaints or returns (unusul for inexpensive springers). There is a detachable mag and they wil order some and have them available (probably around $12.00 to $15.00 a piece)
They are refunding my money. Not sure how long that would have taken if I hadn't called. kinda pisses me off frankly.
UKarms (the distrubutor) said there indeed was a run on them and they got several inquiries from retailers so they are trying to source more. Probably a month out however (at best). This item definitely snuck under the radar.

They need a better website designer. Quantity on hand should update as soon as a sku sells. Otherwise you get P.O.'d customers. (Used to be a programmer once upon a time).

I agree that the inventory update should be tied to the actual old orders and happen instantly. The "run" was all online not sales on the showroom so there really isn't any excuse. What's realy irritating is they still right now show them in stock. That is absolutely unacceptable.

Absolute crap. I suspected mine may also be absent from my order, as it is still pending. I will be calling the company soon to refund my order, and I can say I will never buy from them again. Large order volumes are no excuse for a bad online website setup.
Possibly we could put the bug in those other shop's ears about this carbine! Maybe 2ndBat, you may want to because if one of the other sources would definitly be cheaper, and more reliable (the retailer that is).

It has been two days now since I emailed them with no response. If this continues for another couple of days you can bet they will make my "don't do business with" list. I am not a happy camper.

Definitely off my list. The most expensive retailer and crappy service!
I'd like to get my hand on one to see what's what. If they are good I can order direct from ukarms but i have do so in a minimum of a six per carton order. I don't really want to do so until i try one out. If they are good anyone else want in. My dealer contact will honor a $55.00 selling price.

Just a quick update on the M1 Carbine we have ordered from www.goingloud.com/shop/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=1463I spoke with a nice young man there and he let me know that normally the most of this gun they stock is 7-10 and they are currently sold out. However, there is a new shipment coming in 3-4 weeks. He offered me the choice of getting a refund or being put on a back order for a short time. Personally, I would rather the gun than the money and told him to put me on the BO list. If it doesn't happen I don't mind calling back and getting a refund

They told me they were expecting a new order in a week but since UKARMS said they wouldn't be at their warehouse for three weeks to a month I threw the BS flag on that. I hate being lied to or stroked by a web site that had the highest price. I don't mind paying more at all if the service is there but paying more for dishonest service just doesn't fly. They won't get a dime from me. I WONT reward bad behavior by caving to a sleazy set up. I truly think that knowing they had another group coming they purposely didn't update their site and they definitely purposely didn't bother to let any of us know the status even when we sent in funds. BAD BAD BAD. But apparently not stupid

Refund received. I am looking into placing a volume order with a carton of six to 12 per carton direct from UKARMS. They should get to me the same time as other retailers at $55.00 I will make a tiny bit even. In speaking with folks who have handled and shot them I am told they are in fact well made, fairly robust although all polymer with few metal parts. They look good, the stock doesn't feel flimsy and they shoot legitimately at 290 with .20 gram and the 36 round magazine is detachable and will be available in the $12.00 range. They also have not been problematic in terms of breaking or misfeeds and the action is appatently quite nice.

Got a refund this afternoon, didn't ask for it. I guess they just canceled everything.
Anyway, I'd be in for one from 2nd Bat group order.

There is certainly sufficient interest to order a case of 12. I'd feel better about it if I had one to hold and shoot before the fact but at $55.00 how wrong can we be? Any that don't sell I'll stick on Evil Pay. As soon as I have a time frame I'll let you all know so you can decide if you want to go ahead with it and you won't have to pay me until they are in my possession. I'll also look into getting some spare magazines.
