This is the official recruitment thread for the Irish Guards unit. If you're interested, please post below, PM me or visit our newly created forums at irishguards.proboards91.com/These soldiers were an elite unit mainly consisting of Irishmen. they crippled the Germans in Norway, Gave cover for the Dutch Royal family to escape Holland, and in Northern France (boulogne) their gallant efforts slowed the German assault so definitively that they were only evacuated when every other area surrounding dunkirk had fallen. All this before their eventual transfer to Northern Africa. Here the three Battalions were split up. 2nd and 3rd battalion were converted to armored units, seeing heavy fighting in North Africa, and eventually would land on the beaches at Normandy The 1st Battalion remained an infantry battalion and would see high casualties in North Africa. They would later battle north through Italy. After the war the 2nd and 3rd battalions would be disbanded, but the 1st battalion remains active today and is currently on a tour of duty in Iraq Now, my question to you guys is, would any of you be interested in forming a unit and building impressions to honor the Irish Guards? I plan this to be an "auxillary unit" used for events set in areas that didn't concern American forces. I don't want you to think that it means you have to put away your other impressions. It would just be something different and I think, really interesting.

well, there is an east coast group you might want to talk to if you're still interested down the road. but they are blanks, instead of airsoft.
