What gear would I need to make a Navy Gunner, like the one in the level "Black Cats" in Call of Duty: World at War.

*never* a good idea to base any impression of a computer game *especially* the wildly fantastical and innacurate CoD series.
Your best bet is to do some old fashioned book research at your local library, usually the information you'll glean from books is slightly more reliable than some airsofters opinion on a forum.
You'll also be able to look at lots of different units and decide which one *really* appeals to you before going into any detailed research.

the earlier cods were more accurate but thy lost the history around cod 4 but why would you want to do that?so random, plan on flying in a plane soon or being on a ship? The navy wasn't really...you know...on the ground

Its just for reference, but its true, a US Navy crewman on attack aircraft, usually wore a US Seaman uniform, with a weird harness on top, a B-4 Life Preserver, a flight cap, and a G1 Jacket.

I understand where you are coming from, Stuka. But at our WW2 airsoft field, we have downed US Navy aircraft props, so I thought it would kinda cool to a downed US Navy Gunner Loadout.

US Naval Aircraft gunners were actually trained airmen, not regular navymen. They would have worn what US Naval Aviators would have worn. Flight suit, flight helmet, a parachute harness and a Mae west life preserver. Not stuff that get reproduced much, and originals can get expensive. You may decide to either forgoe the parachute harness or try to fabricate one yourself though. This is a great place to look for info on any and all branches of WW2 service. ww2reenactors.proboards.com/index.cgi

My point really is that you seem a bit unsure as to what you really want to do and online forums are the *worst* place to get advice over what clothes you will wear until you've decided on a firm direction.
Great places to get feedback on your impression so far or peoples opinions on certain suppliers but the initial 'what should i be/what do i need' is better answered with some independant research as everyone else has a bias and at the end of the day its your money you're spending and you have to be happy with your look.
I only base this comment on the fact you've asked for advice on airborne, tankie, USMC, Paramarine and US NAVY loadouts in a small number of posts.

it sounds like your interest is for supplemental impressions for role players for various events. In the case of a bailed out Navy gunner much of his "impression" would have been ditched once he was on the ground in the vicinity of the enemy. He would no longer find attractive the clothing that kept him warm at altitude and hed quickly lose the Mae West and probably (although maybe not) get rid of the aviators skull cap.
He'd most likely have dungarees, covered with a tropic aviators jump suit, boondocker type boots and a leather shoulder holster with pistol. For events something along those lines should diferentiate him from other players.

Gadge, I am a little unsure, yes, but these loadouts I ask for is because my local group do "theater" games, in which we make the field look like either Iwo Jima, the Eastern lands of Germany, etc. and we play depending on the factions of that particular battle, it would kinda of weird to have one loadout for every game, if you know what I mean. For example, Battle of The Bulge, and I am a USMC Paramarine, it would be weird, call me hardcore, but I like make every period correct.

Yeah understood. I always try and have appropriate outfits.
I've found that by having a feldgrau and smock ss outfit (and a heer spare tunic and cap) and a British Airborne uniform (with a plain BD blouse and different soft hat as a spare) lets me play in pretty much every UK game.
If its NWE i'll do brit airborne/line *or* german and if its Russian front i'll do german either ss or heer depending on what the sides are.
I dont have the worry of PTO as no one in the UK runs those games as nobody wants to dress as japanese but i do have a chindit outfit incase it ever happens.
Over the years I've bought loads of extras so that i can do nearly any british unit you can mention but a 'generic' base impression you can add to is the key.
