=(
Einstein obviously doesn't like bayonets.
I'm not the first to come up with this, i think during or after ww1 they did make a(A meaning one) special flash hider with a bayonet lug. They scrapped it obviously =S

Einstein once said " the difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has it's limitations." Ouch... I actually never realized BAR's didn't have bayonet lugs

There is a picture of a thompson prototype with a bayonet. Obviously there were still in the mindset of trench warfare. To be fair, the bayonet would get in the way of the bipod if they actually had gone through with the bayonet lug unless there was a special bayonet lug with a very short handle. The Japanese obviously never left the trench mindset with the bayonet lug's on their LMG's XD

The Japanese actually had bayonets for all of their guns (including SMG's and LMG's), because of banzai charges it was "symbolic" or something.

Next step, put a bayonet lug on a m1917! Or a M2! ;D Well for the M2 you could always just use a sword!

I still think the fact that the Trench Gun had provisions for a bayonet is hilarious and awesome at the same time.

I don't know how practical is is or if you'd ever get a chance to use it, but it looks awesome, dude.
And I'm in agreement with the trenchgun bayonet.

1. The BAR is not a crew served weapon 2. Look at the Japanese type 99 LMG, it was meant to have a bayonet 3. I like bayonets

Just slap a 180-degree pipe on the end of your Panzerfaust, and use the backblast to fire a mortar bomb! ;D

The americans basically did put a bayonet on their tanks. Look at the hedgehog device we used in the bocage after D-Day
