Hello everybody, this is my first thread on WWII airsoft blog. I want to discuss the ares thompson models. I have seen rumors about them that date in 2010 (including at least one on here). I have resisted buying a king arms thompson because if i buy that and ares comes out with this one, ill be bummed. I was just wondering if anybody could fill me in on any news I might have missed regarding this.
Ps. I want the Chicago Typewriter style.

I know this conversation took place a few years ago but I was wondering if there is any new info about the ARES Chicago Thompson? My personal belief is that, for some reason, King Arms bought the rights to some Ares products that included the M1928 Thompson. Never heard if it's true or not, but when Ares decided to bring the M1 Carbine, the Mosin Nagant AND M1928 Thompson to the airsoft market then lo-and-behold suddenly King Arms, just a little behind, also released an M1 (and M1A1) Carbine, a Mosin Nagant and the proper upper receiver M1928 ("newer") Thompson. This was now back in 2013, and the M1928 was released as an EBB/Electric blowback version. A GBB version was to be released later that year but it was cancelled. Both the King Arms EBB and GBB version is nowhere to be found these days, and I do not believe that Ares will ever release an M1928. It has been to long. Just my two cents.

Well I don't know what happened to WE, they had production set at one point and were just waiting to distribute and now I haven't heard anything since
