sounds like someone with a milling machine, lathe, plasma table, and a love for WWII airsoft could make some serious money. That gives me an idea...

dangerwerx.com/agm-mg42-first/Dangerwerx is a friend of mine going back many years, the Shoei he will compare it against is mine that has been laying by him for the past 2 months waiting for this release. So standby to standby on his grudge match comparison. Just an FYI, there is also some data that will be released to the public after i come back from shot show about a certain external air engine blowback manufacture and this new agm/s&t mg42.

Shot Show? Will you check on the GnG Garand? Good to see the 42s are finally coming out.

Sounds great. There should be lots of imminent new offerings like the GnG Garand and the AGM German MG. Hopefully many others as well. I went to the shot show on several occassions but have been disappointed at how little by way of airsoft is showcased and how few of the major companies are represented. Hopefully there will be more to see this year. We will anxiously await your report. For the GnG Garand the mystery remains how they plan to do their magaine arrangement. How many rounds? How a high cap mag is going to work and if its going to be fixed with a top loading set up as has been speculated.

The matrix "steel" mg-42 is a lie!! The muzzle is an orange plastic cone and a replacement off RobertRTG may not be the same threading. Since the muzzle is pinned and set screwed in. Largest steel piece is the bipod. All the other large parts are aluminum.

Hey DRK, what's shaking?
Re the Matrix '42 - figures. Can you determine if the internals are as ho-hum quality as the much-touted RWA MG34's turned out to be?
Once again it would appear that marketing hype trumps reality.
What other 'real-time' observations have you uncovered re the gun, thus far?
It would be shocking to see an airsoft company actually treat the community they serve with some objective reporting/assessment of the products they sell, rather than the over-heated puffery they so readily pump out.
Obviously that ain't going to happen anytime soon, LOL.
Be well compadre. Gunner79

DRK - well the steel bipod is where you need steel. Those pictures in your link show a gun built for skirmishing. I think it looks nice. The first reviews will be interesting. I think it is a nice plus for the airsoft community.

It remains to be seen but i'm optomistic. Steel would be nice but i personally don't care. I want to see a reasonably priced, reasonable facimile of a kraut machine gun that works as it should, is durable and is priced like and A&K crew served weapon. If my M60 meets that criteria I don't understand why this Matrix offering can't as well. We need this offering to be worthy!
