I'm still 30 inches, I'm 5"3' and also Asian. Yeah... I have the body of a female. This is why I didn't want to buy a tunic anytime soon because of my unusual body size.

As much as I'd like to say you need to buy a tunic next, you won't find a tunic in your size. Even the smallest tunic would look ridiculously big.

Looking good! Just a few recommendations: Reed green HBTs were super rare for SS, I'd ditch those. Also, guys should have smocks- it is very rare to see WSS without any form of camouflage.

We allow HBT Tunics due to the climate that we live in, summertime heat index is well over 100 degrees and is extremely humid, wools are optional, I am more concerned about the safety of my teammates then the rarity of an item.
As for smocks half of our members have smocks, but by the time we did the photoshoot they did not want to put it back on, in the heat along with the rest of their gear.

Sahariana tunics look sexy asf like I've already mentioned to you I think haha its an HBT tunic appropriate for SS. LSSAH1944 could probably tell you more about those though haha

But if you had those..your while unit would need them and I think your main concern should be recruiting and getting first kits together which is coming along well

If the Germans had fought in the Philippines (now, there's an interesting scenario for an alternate history) I bet they'd be wearing HBT's

Looking good! With the terrain it really gives it an Italian Front look. I can sympathize with the heat. Wools would not be fun in conditions like that. The SS did indeed have a tropical tunic which I think looks awesome. Too bad up here it is too wooded to ever look like the tropical theatre. Where did you guys get your helmets?

if you want HBT, either do: smock directly over service shirt, and woo, pants, or: dot. sahariana possibly if the unit youre portraying got it. No green HBTs.

Sahariana though historically accurate would stick out quite a bit down here. Plus it would be hard to ask our members to buy new uniforms.
We have different areas that look like France to Italy and between, we were hot and tired and didnt want to go the the open french looking fields, so we kept with the Orchard area.
As for our helmets I believe the one with the SS Decal was from Hessen, the other two were bought second hand.
Its disappointing to see not understanding with the HBT Tunics, I mean look at a map. Georgia is basically parallel with North Africa, Now even though were not a desert look at how far we are from "German" Climate, the whole state literally shuts down if theres less then an inch of snow...Down here you cant expect complete uniform accuracy.

If it's parallel with north Afrika, honestly just run around in a pair of DAK shorts and a luger. Now that'd be fun hahaha

I think you guys look fine. I really like the the helmets which is why I asked. I am planning on repainting an original shell to look like that Hessen one. Looks like you have a pretty solid group. Keep up the good work!

We with how air-streams work we are not completely the same as North Africa...but I'm sure you guys know that already.
And thank you Aldrich, I actually think he repainted Rustolem Forest Green

You can wear summer weight uniforms and still be 100% accurate: called dot 44.

My first reaction to the terrain was Italy but there are many many orchards in Normandy that became scenes of conflict. I think you guys look great.

Some people do not like DOT 44, but I'm not going to argue the point, for it is going no where
Joe we've had this discussion before and you should know by now that this train of thought of 100% is impractical for growing this hobby in my region, the whole point of WW2 airsoft is to learn about the history of the armies we portray and have fun while doing it.

So here's the deal. I'm the guy with the SS decal helmet. That tunic saved me from a heat stroke simply because of how the material works. I am not spending hundreds of dollars to buy a tunic I would only be able to use a few months out of the year. Simply pointless. Wearing wool in 115 degree weather(yes in southwest Georgia it gets that hot on a good day) it would cause serious injury to myself and my team's bodies because of all that excess heat with nowhere to go but in.

There was a Dot HBT SS tunic on display at the West Point museum which was cool to see in person up close.

Not saying wool is needed...smock over service shirt or dot. but whatever, don't think people will change their ways, so it seems pointless to even give advice.

Its not advice when we know it already, Its personal preference and adapting to the environment. The issue here is the lack of wanting to understand.
We want tunics (not wools), some people don't like Dot 44, Some of us already have smocks, and people don't want to buy more uniforms that they don't NEED to receive the blessing of perfectionists
If that is too hard to understand or bothers you too much then I see it as a personal issue, If you truly just wanted to give advice then work on your delivery.

Guys, I think we need to calm down here.
Its obvious both side sees and (hopefully) understands the arguments and suggestions. Let's just leave it at that.
Only thing else I'm going to say is that this is a "I'm working on it!" thread. Not the Stitch Knot-see thread. It would be one thing if PrinceofPinoys here blatantly disregarded the suggestions and completely blew others off. He clearly understands whats wrong and provides the "why" he did things the way he did. Which means he knows he is doing wrong from the historical stand point, and knows what he needs to do to get his and his team's impressions at that level. And I hope he is posting the pics here and not the Stitch Knot-see thread because of that. However, if he was posting these in the Stitch Knot-see thread knowing these things...that's a completely different story....

I know Grahams tone seems harsh and judgemental sometimes but I also know it is directed for the purpose of accurate input for anyone reading the thread. Not to berate, belittle or one up anyone else and certainly not you. The challenge with the written word especially in forums is we all sometimes read things or motives into a post that simply aren't there.
I think you guys looked great and are perfectly appropriate in the "Working on it Thread".

Of course we know that we are not 100% accurate and never will be, our goal is to keep the Hobby of WW2 open and affordable to those interested in our area
