I just ordered 6 TSG's for $48.00. I would love to get some of their stick grenades, but too much $$ for me to spend, especially now with Christmas and all. They do do group orders it seems though. Just something I watched that was well done enjoy. (Oops, some adult language, Ill remove it its a problem) www.youtube.com/watch?v=l3YaP2kVgOk

The video looks fun. The venue looked very cool. I recognized one of the players as a Swede who came to RECONDO school. In Europe and Scandanavia in many ways they have more advanced participation in WW2 and Vietnam then we do here in the States.. note that when depicting US or British troops they speak English. When I went to Finland I was amazed at how common and good their English is.

Hey man, I'm just curious! What you can do is use pvc and airsoft grenade launcher shells and put a screw at the bottom of the pvc tube. Fires all the bb's quite accurately suprisingly. Or you can just shove a Roman Candle or a screacher down it for a really nice sound effect.

At this point you might as well make a tank, which I would heartily support.

Something to aspire to and it would really add to the whole immersion factor. And you got to love the field phone scene. Who doesn't love field phones?

Shifty, you might just want to stick to French and German. My sister is majoring in Japanese right now as a junior in college and she says it's one of the hardest languages in the world and she took pretty much all AP classes in HS. I'm currently working on German and it's coming along quite nicely, granted I have a great teacher whose been to Germany and my mom took 4 years of it... But he if you guys want a mortar then I'd be up for it... a tank... we'll talk

Once I figured out that there are 46 hirigana (there's katakana as well) characters that each represent a syllable, it became much, much easier. Chinese is crazy, don't even try to learn it. Japanese is certainly harder than French or German though.

Shifty, I will be getting some German weapons, but all the players who need loaner gear will need to be kitted out in US gear with US weapons. It may sound crazy, but I have my reasons. It's all part of the side balancing plan I have, and it will be period correct, and add some flavor I assure you all!

The idea of a mortar using the mosscart grenade shells is conceptually fine but functionally not so much. In order to slide freely down the tube there have to be gaps between your projectile and the tube sides. This gap, unfortunately lets too much gas escape when the shell goes off dramatically reducing the power and range you hope to achieve. Great idea but one that really doesn't work very well. There is a comercially sold mortar that is actually made very well and works great. The company is 11Charlie which is the Military Occupational Specialty code (MOS) for an Infantry Mortarman.
Battlesim here locally with Schmittys help made a very cool full sized Pak 40 prop and Scott J did a super nice AA gun which was an objective at Jump to Destiny. No one ever got to it to see it unfortunately was without impact at the event.

As far as I know, they both are. It's usually up to the field owners to allow or disallow. This time of year we also don't have to worry about the leafs/brush catching fire. I agree that they add a lot to the game tactics. Plus there's nothing better than a grenade kill Here is a link for both smoke and pea grenades that I have used plenty of times. They are easy to deal with. tacticalvirtue.com/Products.htmlI looked through their website...truly awesome! Where are they located, I couldn't see an address on their site. They're in Queens NY. I went there once to pick up an order.

When I googled them, I watched their demo video from 2009 on youtube and the M19 looked great. Would love to get one, but just couldn't find their site anywhere. Any help appreciated.

I'm pretty sure those are mosscarts, not sure though.

Oh, by the way, I forgot to ask. Are we going to use the "hit" type of dead or the "lay on the ground screaming medic" method?

I encourage everyone to use theatre type deaths, but of course if there is a foot or more of snow, I doubt people will want to roll around in the snow. You are all more than welcome to though!

I came across this today when I was looking for stuff on the Web. sites.google.com/site/operationwoodsman/battle-of-reichswald/the-rules Its a venue in Ontario. They have a weekend long immersion game. Its pretty much a reenactment with the tactical part being airsoft. Very cool, and I like the rules they have in place. There isn't really anything that I would disagree with there. I especially like the limited ammo rules, each soldier caries 200 rounds. Extra ammo has to be carried to the front in ammo cans. Kinda cool if you ask me. Adds the very real element of resupply during combat and you have to make your shots count. I know we probably don't have enough players for medics but that's also very cool to see. Anyway, I plan on laying dead in the snow, probably allot. Glad I got my reversible parka and wool trousers.

The mortar shown isn't firing a nerf rocket which is what i typically think of with airsoft mortars or bazookas etc. It is simply firing a shower of BBs. I like the set up as he did it and I suppose it would function just fine as it is. I like the speed with which it can be reloaded and the range seems to be reasonably okay to simulate a 60mm mortar. I'm not at all sure how well falling BBs will register as hits but Nerf rockets are often ignored as well. Big Eds large cannon/ mortar deal fired 3 to 5 tennis balls at a time and that was awesome. At night he dipped the balls in the flourescent goo from snap lights and it was real cool to see them fly into the night sky and bounce around where they hit. His weapon had a full on pressurized tank and regulator system and fired the balls any where on the Wolcott field being fired from the base camp. He used aiming stakes and fired to grid coordinates called in by radio.
He pre zeroed on key known points and in the absense of wind was amazingly accurate.
The coolest use of indirect fire I have ever seen at an airsoft game.

If they have a place to post North East US events or could create one maybe we could get a few guys to drive down from Quebec or Ontario, Its almost a straight shot down to Albany then quick over to Johnstown. Let me know if its OK to do some promo.

Actually, one of my friends' only reason for not going was because of the lack of medics. If I bring him, we could set him up to be a medic on either the American side or the KG Skorzeny
