Yes, when blowback is turned off you can easily empty all 10 clips, maybe more. I didnt count exactly but 10 clips for sure without blowback.

that in my mind makes a huge difference in the guns skirmishability although it still doesn't eliminate the need for lots of enblock clips and some willingness to lose some in the course of the action which really gets expensive in a hurry. i also never could get into a groove reloading my Marushin Garand clips. A Real Garand even with M1 Thumb became a pretty straight forward process in short order but the Marushin took way more effort and practice then I was willing to give it. In a skirmish regardless of the weapon I want to be able reload without ever looking at the weapon and the Marushin set up ever allowed me to even come close. I tried and tried and tried to get there and then...the guns broke . So....I gave up. God love those who hung in there with them.

Straying off topic a little bit but does anyone know the measurements (threads, etc) of the fill valve? I was thinking about getting a drop-in HPA fitting for cold weather, while retaining the ability to charge with 134a/green/hydrogen(maybe not the last one) for warmer weather.

Not really sure what size it is, but I would imaging its metric. I asked the paintball shop owner by my house and he has never seen a quick release fitting that small

Does anyone know whether or not the KWC CO2 adapter will fit?

That actually should work! All the full valves in gas guns are universal, so getting that fitting and hose, and attaching it to a propane tank would adapt it without any mods to your gun at all!

The KWC? I may try it. I also was wondering about Guarder Powerup Gas, but after I found a picture of a pressure gauge on a can showing it at 240 psi and watched a video of a KSC Glock shoot a hole through a brass key I became convinced it may work in cold weather.

In summer yeah, but if it's cold outside it may help alleviate cooldown. But you're right, I'll plink with it a bit to make sure I won't kill anyone.

Airsoft....Exit wounds...Not a good idea. How exactly do you expect to plink with exotic gases and chronoing when you don't know in advance what your temperature ill be? Hmmmmmm?

You do not necessarily need to know the temperature in advance, just know what the temperature is when you fire it. Fire at non-living targets and compare the cooldown with that of propane at a higher temperature. It's 20 degrees here, I doubt it'll be much warmer at the Battle of the Bulge event.

I would highly recommend to you to experiment with powerfull gases only after upgrading your rifle to steel moving parts if you wanna keep the blowback working.

I'll put a steel part 45 in ASAP, however it'll be about -6 celcius when I use it in the game and when plinking with this gas, will I need a part 44 and 42 made of steel also?

Anything that moves or is subject to the pressure will need to be upgraded to handle the more powerful gas. I would highly recommend you not go there with the stronger gases as frankly your rifle barely endures (and frequently doesn't) handle the gases it was designed for. In any event, I thought you had already installed your reinforced part 45? If not, how long has the infamous Shiftys Garand Marushin been down?

It broke after 1,800 rounds (possibly a record) about 2 months ago, the same day my dog died. Double whammy.

Ok, this is a bit of a necropost, but after browsing the Canadian airsoft forum, it seems GBBR users ran propylene without problems down to -8'C (20'F). Guess I'll be stocking up on this stuff.

Do you have your Garand fully functional at present? If so chrono it with your intended gas in the approximate temperature and guage against acceptable jouelles with BB weight you will be using vs 20 gram. There are power conversion tables that will interpret your FPS vs typical field restrictions. No one wants to face or use a HOT gun at any event.

It's currently non-functional. however, as soon as I get the new parts I will do so. Though, everyone will be wearing extra clothing, so the energy transferred to the skin is reduced.
