Hey folks,
I finally got me a fixed bale helmet today and have a small favor to ask of you. If any of you have the "Helmets of the ETO" book, would you mind to do a quick heat stamp check for a fellow enthusiast?
The number appears to be 70 11.
Thanks in advance.

Heat stamps on that grid go to 1300.
A 700 series heat stamp is 1943 according to that grid.
The last digit you provided might be a letter.
Keep in mind that there is some debate that heat stamps may just be inventory-like numbers that aren't specific to date of manufacture.
