Anyone here tried to replicate Anti Gas Paste on their M42 Uniforms or any other Allied Uniform for Normandy?
I've read about reenactors using Canvak canvas restorer from a discussion on the ATF FB page.
Just wondering if anyone here has done something similar.
Thanks.

From what I understand coming into contact with Canvak too much can be harmful. I've read (and will eventually try) paraffin wax. It darkens the fabric, gives it a waxy feel, leaves a white substance in the folds and creases, and replicates CC-2 pretty well. Plus there's no harmful side affects. I've heard of guys dipping their uniforms in the wax or using heat guns to spread the wax over the uniform.
