DP28?

Hey, I'm back again with another question about WW2 lmgs. So to start, I've recently been thinking that a WW2 Russian/Soviet loadout would be kinda cool to do, but finding a machine gun to fit the job has proved troublesome. I suppose I could modify an rpk to look like an rpd for a late war look, but that doesn't really appeal to me. So to get to the point of this long question, I'd like to know if anyone makes (company or custom made) a DP28. I found this that would probably work if i had more money, time and experience if it is of any help.

1. RPD came out so absurdly late and didn't receive mass production until after the war so using an RPD would be extremely silly. 2. Your link just sends us right back to this thread. 3. People have made DP28's out of m14's and only had a permanently affixed pan magazine. You might be able to use a P90 I suppose

Ah, i see. sorry about that link here is what i was talking about www.zib-militaria.de/MG-DP28-deactivated . Anyway, I apologize for trying to pull off an RPD since I had just looked up the release date when I posted this(shows what happens when I stay up late).

Ok, thanks for telling me, I guess if I really want a DP28 I'll just have to convert a m14 or P90 or something.

If you want to do a conversion, use a Crossman r75 and just create your own dp28 barrel. The R75 already somewhat looks like the dp28 and it uses the top loading pan magazine
