I love unique early 20th century uniforms and the Chinese is no exception! They have some neat uniforms and Hiki has them for a good price.I respect the Chinese for their fight against the Japanese tyranny and would love to have replica uniforms andgear of theirs. The seemed to have a mix of unique stuff like M35 stalhelms,Mauser C96,Da-Dao sword, ect.I plan on getting stuff from Hiki in September and will add their Chinese stuff on the cart. The shoes seem to easy to find.Wal-Mart sells shoes similar to those of what they wore and will work.I will eventually get appropriate airsoft guns for the impression.Any advice and tips will be appreciated.

You could use a kar98, a zb26/30 pry n mp18 or a mp34(not that those exist in the airsoft world) I can't think of anything else at the moment. I tried to look for the insigna/stamp or whatever that goes on the stalhelms but i couldn't find anything. I fyou were doing a later CBI impression then you would have access to more weapons as the Chinese nationalist would be more aligned and fighting with the allied units, mostly Indian and British units.
edit/side note, I have no idea why the guys in the khaki brownish uni's aren't wearing shoes lol

I would probably get a Kar98.I need one anyway for my Heer impression, probably a Tanaka. The problem is finding a Pacific themed event (California comes to mind but I would have to airline there) but it would be cool enough to show up at a normal airsoft arena in KMT impression.I too don't know why they aren't wearing any shoes

Both of your options are cheaper than Tanaka's Kar98.Thanks for pointing them out.I think I will get khaki KMT with gear and add some Heer stuff along from Hiki.Kill two birds with one stone with that!

Bringing this topic up again :DI have two more questions about KMT gear and stuff.Since China and Germany had a bit of a trade going on training/arming wise, what types (if any) of German gear did Chinese troops have (besides the obvious like guns and M35 helmets)?Another is what did the average Chinese soldier have as ration and did he any type of bread bag of such? Much appreciated

Well looking at the pictures you posted you can see a bread bag. I am not sure how accurate you want your impression to be but i am sure you could getaway with using German gear like belt and ammo pouches. You're going to have to look a bit more into it

Hey, I do a Chinese Nationalist Impression with usually a Mauser 98, but also an MP28. You won't be able to get away with German gear haha. I'm the one with the MP28 in these pictures.

Hi, PPS or RED FIRE does the Mauser Type 24 (Chang Kaï Chek). With the chineses Marks. WIKI : The paired swastika symbols are included, at least since the Liao Dynasty (AD 907–1125), as part of the Chinese writing system (卍 and 卐) and are variant characters for 萬 or 万 (wàn in Mandarin, man in Korean, Cantonese and Japanese, vạn in Vietnamese) meaning "all" or "eternity" (lit. myriad). The swastika marks the beginning of many Buddhist scriptures. In East Asian countries, the left-facing character is often used as symbol for Buddhism and marks the site of a Buddhist temple on maps.

Hi Luftwelle93 I do an 88th Division 1937 battle of Shanghai impression. Most of the uniform is available from Hikishop as you say. Some bits are best sourced elsewhere. Check out youchunhe2008 on eBay for example.
Regarding weapons and equipment. I use a ZB26 AEG made by Rock and available from Redwolf in Hong Kong. It is a fairly accurate re-creation (I also have a real steel version, so easy to compare) and is moderately well made. I did have it modified to increase power from c. 240 fps to around 380 fps. I also have a KWC M712 CO2 powered pistol (with an insane rate of fire on full auto). This is very well made and uber reliable. I bought mine from airsoftworld.net .The only problem is that the long magazines wont fit in the standard (short magazine) ammo belts. This is not necessarily a problem as I keep them in the standard Wehrmacht bread bag (as used by the 88th at the time). These I sourced from epicmilitaria.com . I also added a German M35 helmet to the impression and hand painted the KMT sun insignia (NB this should only go on the left side of the helmet).
The Mauser type 24 mentioned above looks really interesting and I shall be investigating that one in more detail as soon as possible! Thanks for posting Zam!
