If you don't want the extra weight, however, I recommend just getting a cover. There are plenty of original photos showing GIs with just e-tool covers but no e-tool after receiving orders (fairly frequently given) to leave their e-tool in their old foxholes for the replacements to use after the unit is pulled off the line.

Welp. I got the BAR, but it didn't really work with any battery I tried to use in it. Then it would only shoot like 5 feet and jam a lot. I'm not suer if this is because of the magazines, but I'm exchanging it just to be safe. If only just for the first problem.

Looks like I wont be doing this impression. The BAR has been nothing but trouble since I got it. SO, I'm getting a refund, and using the money to buy an MP40 and German gear.
