It finally snowed up here by us, so I decided to get some pictures of me in my Axis winter kit.

Where did you get the snow suit? That is non-insulated correct? Looks Great!

The top is a repro that I managed to score off ebay for $16. The bottoms are from my Russian snow-suit. If you are looking for a good deal on winter camo, Hessen antique has Italian snow suits on sale right now for $9. If you take the ties off and add four buttons down the front, it should look just like the one I am wearing.

Looks great! A bit more dirt on the snow suit and you're ready for the Ostfront! I wish it snowed here too.. But there's only rain instead. Not a reason for me to stay at home! Here's my latest impression: I./SS-Pz.Gren.Rgt. 1, LSSAH, Battle of the Bulge, December 1944 There's more! You can see the whole gallery here: sta.sh/21e3cgj2x0pq

Nice stuff! Like the camo as it's clearly one of the better repros.

So I haven't posted for a while, since my last 'impression' pictures, I joined Das Reich UK and got a lot of gear (with their help), no more Post-war sub-standard crap for me. I am far from finished but I am really close, I am waiting for my original late-war jackboots to come in (payed £20 for them! Lol, deal of the year) and my SS Schütze insignia. I still need to repaint my 'SS' stahlhelm the correct feldgrau colour, but overall, everything looks and fits great. I'm going to upload a picture of all my gear tommorow (when my jackboots arrive) as this picture is only my SS EM barracks gear. So far I have: An M40 tunic, M40 trousers, Mouse Grey field shirt, Modified NVA suspenders, Original WW2 Heer jackboots, EM buckle and belt, 2 Kar98 pouches, German WW2 y-straps, Khaki M31 breadbag, Modified post-war messtin, Plastic replica, modified canteen, NVA e-tool and carrier, M35? Stahlhelm replica (needs repainting), M43 cap (for late-war events) Dot 44 tunic (for summer/late-war events) and some original personal gear (matches, scarf, Esbit stove, gloves, mask, etc). Mid-late war garrison/barracks uniform:

Here is a shot I found from the Rockford WWII days reenactment this fall. While not an airsoft event, it shows me and some others, who are also starting up a WWII airsoft group, in our Italian impressions. We are portraying the 63 Legione Tagliamento on the Russian front for the eastern front battle, the guy in the foreground is portraying an alpini ski unit the "Monte Cervino":

Awesome pic of awesome impressions. I would have to imagine that Italians drew their share of friendly fire while serving on the Ostfront-- from a distance that helmet profile could easily fool someone into thinking you were Ivans.

Two Italian Blackshirt Legionaries of the 63rd Legion Tagliamento moments before they board their train to Russia as part of the CSIR, Summer 1941. We also do airsoft of course, located in the Midwest. If anyone wants to join pm me. We've got 6 members now, slowly growing. I'm in charge of the Central USA WWII airsoft group also. There is a view of the back of the kit too, in full marching order.
