I got my Finnish summer tunic (sort of a salt and pepper denim material) from Hiki. Overall looks decent enough. So, I'm doing some closet reorganizing. I've got the tunic lying on the bed. Along comes the cat, who says "This smells funny. I'd better pee on it." I immediately rinsed it out with cold water. The tunic has a black lining. The black dye started running, seriously. So I ran it through the washing machine, repeatedly. It's still useable, but it's a darker gray than it should be. On the plus side, it shrank just a little, particularly in the arms, so it actually fits a little better. And it has a "used" look. So it's not all bad. I don't know if this is unique to the fabric they used for the liner in the Finnish tunic or if other items might have a similar problem, but I'd be nervous about getting other Hiki products wet.

In my experience they run a touch small. Just got a German officer HBT a few weeks back. I usually take a roomy L or a smallish XL. I ordered an XXL which was only slightly too big, after washing warm and drying it fit pretty well.
Kelley's Millitary is another good place to find economically priced tunics. Its a little more in price than Hikishop, but you probably would save on shipping since you live in the US. I personally have not seen one up close, but my unit Commander from my BF unit swears that they are good quality and right on. I actually wish I had purchased one of these instead of the one I just got from Hessian. I would have saved $20 and the wool is a more accurate color for the M40. the cut and shape of his tunics are better. Plus, he is a family run business here in the US. Tunics are probably still made oversees of course.
Dracul: It looks like it lost a lot of steam and I now feel bad for randomly dropping off.

stuka: I mean it's not your fault. It is interesting though that things are falling off as we are finally getting our ww2 guns with the type 38/96 and the enfield as well as it recieving a new loading system, it's kind of unfortunate

Dracul: I don't know, maybe its because all the guns are becoming available, there is a decreasing need for the forums.

Dracul: Most of the talk was about making guns, as all the uniform info was already out there, but now the weapons are out there and are usually decent quality.

stuka: well the forum is and should still be useful for updates on guns, creating groups/events and building kits

Cpl. Hicks: I haven't been here in years, but I'm glad to see this forum is still kicking! So much great info on here.

savoy6: anyone know if anyone still carries the enfield?

Dracul: I think Redwolf has a Enfield. If not or not longer, then not until G&G releases theirs. The old gas Iron Airsoft brand SMLE isn't carried by anyone anymore and was such piece of crap. Not worth trying to track one down.
