Yeah we have maybe like 5 Japanese impressions in the states, me a dude in Georgia and some people I forget where as well.
I find it kind of ironic that there are almost no PTO airsoft games in America considering that is basically our triumph. Yes we had allies that helped in the Pacific but still, I think it's far to say we were the "Russia" in the pacific in that we devoted probably the most manpower.
I really want to go to France now =|

you will be welcome
but this is what we talked about in the WW1 subject : events call players, which call events orgenize something with 5 players, next time there will be 10 and 20 ... we were 50 peoples in Gloucester, 5 nationalities, 8 months of preparation and Tigre (Tiger) who makes a big big work in his field. He made a skiff for Okinawa, trench for WW1 event, a second skiff for Tonail, a armoured train for the second WW1 event and a boat for Gloucester

It just is very difficult for at least us in Florida to find a place willing to let us use the field with such little numbers haha.
Maybe I will try to go to France in a few years then.

The supporting props like the LCI and the Armored Train, trenches etc really add a lot. Its great having a property owner who is so supportive. The Pacific theater though not as popular in the states actually makes more sense for airsoft than the MTO or ETO. The action was typically more intimate with regard to range and intensity and small unit patrolling and contact to complete annihilation was not at all unusual.

You could use an other solution which is uchronia. Ok it is not a good thing for purists but in fact it allows more games, more mixs ... more pleasure.
We talked about a 1946 game : US and French just win the war and include by force germans. But soviets fall crazy and don't want this new coalition ... Then just complete as your mind and play US vs Russians and for a time US and german at odds odds...
Make a WW2 USMC group vs modern USMC, who win ?

From Wikipedia - "Uchronia refers to a hypothetical or fictional time-period of our world, in contrast to altogether fictional lands or worlds."
I had not encountered that word before. Thanks for the vocabulary lesson.

Yes in summary, it is different way of our world, happended if events are different from history. For exampal : if germany won the war, today I wouldn't be French, Ich sprechen Deutsche
The steam punk is based on uchronia : the world with steam technology.

Just had time to watch the video. You guys did a great job! One of the best looking events I have seen in a while. The effort put into the uniforms and the props really goes a long way. Do you guys enforce standards on uniforms?

Thank you.
The OP is based on a real event, which give the period and unities engaged. We have a dress code for each unities and most of guys respect it. You can't play if you don't have a good impression. We are tolerant about details or weapons (too much thompson for a squad or colt allowed not only for officers). Some guys buy all the impression for an OP.
With time, most of us have lot of equipment and compose for the theme of OP.

It doesn't seem to be well known, at least not compared to the Solomons and the Central Pacific islands. Maybe because (if I recall) it was done in support of MacArthur's fighting in New Guinea. Part of the series "The Pacific" takes place at Cape Gloucester. I tink it was particularly notable for raining constantly.

Look like a great event.
May I ask when do you run it? I think till next year we should be able to improve our equipment to needed level to pass inspection and would be interested to come.
