As long as the quality is better then marushin it should be fine. Granted, I doubt the mags will fit but oh well

Knowing King Arms, the gun will be very skirmishable w/ fair priced mags. Although, the overall cost still will probably be pretty high....

Does King Arms have a skirmishable gas blow back rifle currently with affordable mags and a reliable track record? If so I'd love for this to come out and be fabulous but I have yet to see a GBB rifle that is. Having been seriously burned five times with GBB WW2 weapons I'll pass. (Hundson grease gun, two marushin M1 Garands and a Marushin GBB 8mm and a CO2 Marushin carbine which was my latest and final GBB mistake). I did have a winner in a 6mm Marushin gas carbine that was NOT blow gack and was a great gun.

I've heard that the we m14 gbb was decent. I don't know for sure though.

well King Arms is not WE and the m14 wasn't a WW2 weapon lol.
2ndBat, you'll just have to wait for everybody else to tinker with them to see how quality is. I haven't had a KA gbb so I can't say but I had an m4 variant they used to make (9" LaRue) and it lasted me for ever, unfortunatly I traded it for a 1919 that didn't work for dick. =/ Haven't had a good aeg since then

I will indeed need to wait until I hear numerous enthusistic, supportive comments from people who put a lot of rounds through them successfully before I would bite. The intial positive comments about the Marushin improved CO2 powered carbine caused me to step up for one of those. (i knew better but hoping and wishing got the best of me and I once again got slapped down with a wall hanger that ended up sold as a non gun prop.

with shipping to my house in south florida and using their 20% off code it comes out to $284.18. I didn't order it I just went to right before confirm or whatever. The evike code is locknload btw but if anything, it's on their front page as one of the slides if you want to make sure.

And of course its a M2 Carbine! The M1 Carbine mag doesn't make it a M1 Carbine.
Its also probably good metal too, so it will be a pain to try and remove that bayonet lug....

No it's a m1 carbine my friend, m2's were full auto. This is a late war/korean variant unfortunately but I mean they have been posting pictures of it since day 1 like this

But didn't the M1 strictly have a peep sight for the rear sight and lacks the bayonet lugs? This has the M2 style sight and bayonet lug. Pretty much the same way how the Cyma "M1 Carbine" is really the M2 Carbine.

Well technically yes but if you put a m1 and m2 next to each other in korean configuration they will, far as I can tell look aesthetically alike, the biggest differences are the ability to go full auto and the internal components to allow full auto capability.
I could be wrong but most of the m1's after ww2 were redone to the specs you see. The ww2 configuration is simpler, admittedly, but seeing as how the carbine was seeing more action they I would guess decided it needed close combat capabilities ie. the bayonet lug as well as the ability to engage at range ie the new rear site that adjusted to further then 90 yards or meters or w/e

I'm a little worried by the "heavy duty aluminum alloy" Evike says the gun is made of-we'll have to see, but I think the only material that is able to handle the stresses of CO2 blowback is steel. I would guess this would have the same weak points as the Marushin offering, mainly the firing pin and maybe the bolt as well. If someone decided to make upgrade parts for these and the Marushin ones, they'd see there is probably a huge market for those parts.

Aluminum is 30% stronger while also 30% lighter. Both really good things for the parts in question. If the parts are legitimately aluminium alloy it it actually provides hope that this gun might work and might actually hold up. Given the high materials and production cost of aluminium I am quite surprised to see the claim. Hardened steel would probably be too heavy to allow the blow back function to work seamlessly.

If it is legitimately aluminum, I wouldn't be worried. I just don't trust the description. I've seen the Marushin Garand and other guns advertised as being "full aluminum" when they are in fact some sort of "mystery metal".If Evike is actually being honest though, if it is high quality aluminum ,I bet it would hold up.

I agree that if the key parts are aluminum the traditional problems will be remedied but like Shifty I remain skeptical. I have pledged NOT to make anymore $300.00 plus mistakes with regard to airsoft guns.

Yeah, but you are going into battle with one mag either.... And you know these mags are going to be pricey.

I mean thats true but still, if it works fine it's not a terrible price for a gbb carbine, although I wish the mags fit in the pouches. While they look thiner then marushin they are pry still to big oh well.
Having played with the marushin co2 carbine, I must say that it was pretty fun
