As I see it, there were a number of options available to the guys trying to heat up some rations;
-Hexamine tablets in a circular tube -The 'hot box' fuel tablets, seen more for 5-in-1 and 10-in-1 heating applications -Wood Alcohol stoves, canned
Would any of these options fit for an airborne impression?
I've got piles of hexamine tablets, just no tube. Was going to carry them in a 'hotbox' repro.

Everything GIs did would be appropriate for airborne guys. The little gas Coleman stoves were bag dropped and the tiny folding stoves with heating tablets in some cases jumped with them. Incidentally the Germans greatly envied the Americans ability to function so effectively in the field.
