Hmm... Looks good, and I'll probably eventually get it. Good to see another P38 hit the market after Umarex stopped making theirs, but a few concerns...
Are they going to release a version where it doesn't come with a fancy sci-fi case? The case is $30-45 alone, and this can cost significantly less without it.
Are we going to get more mags? The big downside to Umarex's P38 was that, I believe, there wasn't any extra mags on the market.
And it will be interesting to see if this is true WWII sized. I've read that the Umarex P38 was based on a more modern P38 variant and couldn't fit into the proper WWII holsters.

And it will be interesting to see if this is true WWII sized. I've read that the Umarex P38 was based on a more modern P38 variant and couldn't fit into the proper WWII holsters. I've held my Umarex up against both of my original P38's and it is spot on in terms of scale and sizing, and fits my hardshell P38 holster perfectly. Perhaps the person who said it was too big tried to fit it in a holster that was too small (many on the market are). Also, softshell holsters are designed to fit snugly, and have the gun fit to the holster over time. The way to accelerate this process is to wrap the pistol snugly and completely in plastic wrap, wet the holster thoroughly, then put the gun in the wet holster and allow to dry naturally (usually overnight). You'll end up with a nicely "played in " holster that fits the gun perfectly (the thickness of the plastic wrap gives it the slightest bit of play). If you can find a Umarex in stock anywhere, I would recommend it. Reliable and realistic. I love mine.

Fair enough. I hope that the WE tech one holds up this standard, then.
