By customer request, Shoei is developing this MG34 GBB engine; my guess for the RWA / Viva Arms MG34 AEG. I don't think it would fit in the Asahi model unfortunately. Tomio has replied to many comments stating that Shoei does not intend to manufacture a whole MG34 replica...for now However, following their current re-release of their model FG42 Type 2, Shoei will be making an airsoft G43!!! Just browsing the build threads on the forum I can say that many, along with myself, will welcome this good news.

This is all welcome news. The hobby does not seem to be doing that well these days, and an infusion of off-the-shelf historic firearms would be a huge boon.

If it's anywhere as nice as Tomio/Shoei's upgraded 'V.2' GBB Engine for the Shoei '42 then we are in for a real treat. I will certainly buy one or two for my MG34 collection!
I've got two Shoei '42 mgs - the last one came with the upgrade kit installed by Tomio (in fact, it was Tomio's 'demo model' which he used to promote the '42 upgrade kit at airsoft shows around Tokyo). The gun came and I was so impressed - I immediately sent Tomio the funds for a second kit (which still sits in it's box next to my first Shoei '42 - which is planned for a conversion to a 'G3'-type MG).
The 'new' V.2 '42 engine shoots at appx. 1100rpm and significantly increases the FPS over the older 'NitroAir' engine that came with my first MG. It also SIPS the C02/O2 that provides the energy to these guns. Actually, I am still amazed at how gas efficient the new engine is over the older stock one, while substantially increasing it's performance, across the board! I recall (I'll have to dig out the invoice to be certain) that the V.2 '42 (kit only) ran somewhere around $500 (U.S.) not including shipping. It was money extremely well spent, far as I concerned and the workmanship of the components were absolutely beautiful (typical Shoei) in materials and construction! Top notch craftsmanship, I kid thee not:)
