I can assure you that in response to a thorough search of all things G43 reproduction wise your components are way ahead of everyone else as far as shape and thoroughness. shootnScoot offers a one piece glue on receiver group for M14s. It appears to be a latex molded plastic part. In addition there is a G43, M14 based rifle that is marketed on Facebook that includes a laminated wood stock but in all honesty it's overall shape and execution appears quite hokey to me.
In my opinion as stated by Brownish you are far enough along (and then some) to offer a beta version for experienced builders. Have them sign a non compete and get it out there. Same with the FJ! It would get you an infusion of funds, get more hands working on solutions, additional field testing, no doubt lots of pictures of proud smiling owners/ builders and some nice inertia. All of this of course is stated because like Brownish I want one!

I am also looking for a beta testing. I got my G43 waiting for almost a year to get something like this while trying countless partial fits completely unsucessful. The next month or so seems a less stressing work and more time for this build. So don't worry about final for fixing your receiver. I'll be delighted to share my experience on these.

Thanks for all the support and patience! From the beginning of this project I intended the kit to be user friendly. Meaning I had to re-engineer the kit to be easy to install, yet be functional and as true as possible to the real thing. 3d printing helps but it really comes down to (How the part is printed)... Most 3d printers can make functional parts, but it's how you design those parts with the user in mind that really counts. An example of this is the front sight of my kit. At first I designed the sight hood to be exactly like the original, but then it occurred to me that there would be a good chance that it might pop off in the field, so I redesigned the part to include the hood as 1 solid part. (I can also offer the front sight without the hood but it would leave the front sight post exposed...). For the entire build I had the end user in mind, and tried my best to make it easy, yet realistic. There are even a few things I didnt want to do, like grind down the gearbox housing, but it had to be done to make room for the bolt assembly. As for the bolt assembly, it seems like the last thing I tried works really well. I created something to connect to. A simple part attached to the right side of the body that allows the user to apply 1 small screw from the top. *Note: I plan to counter sink the design so that the screw is not so visible). With that, and the hopup clip, its pretty solid. Next I plan to strengthen the bolt assembly (thicken it up and fill in some empty space). This will also give it strength. Getting closer: scontent-ord1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/t31.0-8/q87/s960x960/15168894_10157731700155542_8727849179829072063_o.jpgscontent-ord1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/t31.0-8/q88/s960x960/15129010_10157731700150542_6506460289069797838_o.jpg

Wow! Looks great. At the risk of sounding entirely clueless, on the actual G43 what is the function for the L" shaped lever at the rear of the receiver? Safety? Mag release? Selector switch? Is yours functional or simply cosmetic? Incidentally cosmetic is perfectly acceptable to me!
The detail of your parts are wonderful. The set screw is brilliant and not the least bit distracting. Your efforts are really really good especially when compared for example to ShootnScoots solid piece molded receiver group.
He sells that part alone for $74.00 (at least the last time I checked). It is actually a nicely done part but no where near as crisp and authentic as yours.

The L lever is the safety. I agree, it does look very nice and I can't wait for it to be available.

The L lever is the safety, and originally I would have wanted this to function at least as a cut off switch for power. Perhaps a future mod can be installed to have this feature.

That was my guess. It's a noticeable characteristic of the G43 visually so it's presence even when non functional is a great enhancement. Non functional is totally fine and of course with no movement and it's location it should prove fairly durable on the replica.

The problem with the Lever is that it sticks out and could possibly become hooked on gear. Currently its welded in place, but I did have a screw holding it in place a while back, but the problem was that the screw was hitting the back of the gearbox. I'd have to readjust the design if I wanted to add a screw back there.

I was wondering if there are any news regarding this kit. The Christmas is almost here! Who knows what money will remain afterwards.

Based on the latest Facebook post this kit seems to rapidly be approaching a final, releasable, commercial offering? This kit should at long last provide the necessary bits and pieces to do an impressive do it yourself G43 conversion by marrying these components on ones own M14 AEG! Much more precise and authentic looking replica than I was able to fabricate.

Once we fine tune the kit, and build the second prototype, I will be opening up an etsy store and will start taking orders. I will have a better idea of a price and time line once the second gun is build and working as intended.
***This kit will only work with a CYMA M14*** just to be clear. Thanks!

That's fine as having now purchased and utilized every available M14 with my 10 plus years of making my Garand conversions the CYMA 032 is by far the best value M14 out there. I have owned many Airsoft M14s including the Airsofting M14 (the original M14 AEG), Marui, Kart, AGM, GnG, UK Arms and others the CYMA is a true Marui clone with more powerful spring, standard tightbore barrel and consistently good build quality throughout. A tiny bit more expensive than most of the alternatives but way better. The CYMA is absolutely the one to base it on. Best wishes on this offering I think you will do very well with it.

Thanks 2nd Bat! I am not the best at weathering and such, but it turned out ok. I still may sand down a few areas to dull them down.

It looks really awsome! I like the "metal" parts quite a bit.

I may end up buffing the front sling band, it's a bit too bright. I also forgot to weather the custom mag release button. And non of you noticed, but I also filled the holes in the m14 trigger guard with liquid plastic. I may even file down the trigger guard so it is flush on all sides. Still need to drill in a couple of fake bolts into the body (Mid rear sight), but this will have to wait until I can use a drill press.

You have to be friends of the page. Just put in a request. Mention WW2 airsoft and my guess is you're in. Frankly all of our members should be following his pages. This one and the FJ42 page. Both projects very fun to follow.

He just announced on Facebook that he has partnered with a buddy that I assume is going to handle fulfillment on this kit so he could continue to focus on design and development of his other projects (FJ-42 which is coming along nicely) and Functional German lemon grenades. He feels now that a June introduction beta release for the CYMA based G43 kit is possible.
He has the receiver group, rear stock, mag well, trigger assembly and just recently front handguard for his FJ finished. Both rifles look fabulous. Hopefully the prices will be compelling! It's always tough for a low volume manufacturer to determine real costs.

Last posts I saw from tactj shows a ton of recent progress on a German mortar. A little frustrating as we get see a lot of great effort and cool potential products that seem tantalizingly close to being ready but never quite make it to market.
As mentioned several times before, in an effort to achieve perfection... There is an anxious and willing group of buyers who would be thrilled with pretty darn nice!

Well , 3D printing is not the most efficient way to produce plastic parts. These tend to end up very expensive in term of parts and time involved in production.

For small runs it's much more affordable than tooling up for injection molding. If he plans to build and sell a lot of them creating silicon molds for each part would be the way to go but even then set up materials, time and efforts gets pretty expensive so you better sell a lot of them and you'd better mark up your costs enough to justify it. Odds are pretty good he'll never sell enough to recoup the cost of his 3D printer(s). It's pretty obvious his motivation is to create for himself that which he otherwise couldn't acquire rather than take things to market. While disappointed in that personally, I respect it.

Steve has just posted on his G43 web page a montage of photos chronically the build process. This very clearly shows the components and what the project entails. Very fascinating little video. Hopefully (we have been saying this for a year and a half now). The kit should be available to purchase quite soon. www.youtube.com/watch?v=hMOV5aV2ODYNo indication as yet about pricing or perhaps I'm missing it. Tact also has made great progress on a German mortar and an FJ 42.

It looks very good actually. And I believe it will make a very convincing impression of G43. What it looks a little odd is the stock attachment at the bottom - this makes the stock locking more like a M700, while the actual G43 stock is closing resembling with the K98. Also - one could do a much lower receiver bolt cover. This is too high and the Cyma M14 would allow this to come much lower (even lower than my SVD build). Unfortunately the original parts are really tiny to allow a complete 100% reproduction of the G43 over a normal AEG cylinder. I love how the bottom plate looks. A new steel replica costs around 50USD, which is too much for me. In the end the price will tell the story. In my book this looks very promising if the price will not be exorbitant.

The overall look and level of detail is vastly Superior to other offerings that look cartoonish and just off. This looks clean and proportionate. Anxious to see the cost on this kit and assuming it's within the budget I'm anticipating I can't wait to do one.

A very helpful video is now posted on YouTube (search airsoft G43). This show all the components and there very seamless installation on a stripped down CYMA M14. This kit is brilliantly executed.
