Has anyone taken apart one of the springer M2 Carbines? Would anyone be able to take picture of what the receiver and barrel portion alone look like?
I was wondering if it was possible to remove the barrel & receiver from the stock and replace it into an M1A1 stock.

Springers typically are not built for repairs or upgrades hence disassembly is NOT a critical part of their design. With that said they do disassemble and with fairly extensive dremel work you can get the mechanicals to fit in an actual stock. With the investment in the M1A1 components (even reproductions or a Denix replica as your mule, you're looking at a sizeable investment only to end up with a marginally skirmishable base gun.
My recommendation is you get a little creative and modify the existing gun and stock into an M1A1. I have done that with six of these and am quite happy with the results given the minimal expenditures. There is a thread in the DIY section that chronicals this effort. I absolutely love these little CYMA carbines but their low low cost is a huge part of that appeal. I wouldn't want to have $300.00+ wrapped up in one AND a lot of effort.

Hi guys, not worth the effort.... body is substantially different from a real one. I ve pushed one into old M1 body I ve had and it was a pain.... only thing worth the effort is to make yourself few short mags using the mags from springer pistols and denix ones..... In general the best way how to use it is let it be the way it is below few of the photos....

Looks terrific and a great resource series of pictures. I absolutely agree that while the results look fabulous the time and effort warning is worth heeding. For those who have never attempted such things there is little appreciation for what's involved.
