Hello,
As the title says, I'm interested in starting an Imperial Japanese Army reenactment/ airsoft skirmishing group in the NJ/NY/PA where we would go to airsoft games in our full IJA kit, as well as educating people about the history behind it.
I know that there aren't a lot of IJA airsoft guns on the market right now, and the ones like the Tanaka Type 99 fetch a price for about $1000, can be cost prohibitive. We can used the the S&T Type 38 which is about $250. There are other weapons that we could use as substitutes, or we could use existing ones and dress them up to look like WW2 era Japanese weapons.
If you are interested, please feel free to PM me, or send me an email at orderoftherisingsun7@gmail.com
Hope to hear from you soon!

I applaud your effort! And in the tri-state area! But where are you?
I'm not interested in building a Jap impression. But I did get to see some down in VA at the annual Open House at Tank Farm. And I liked it!

Honestly, if traffic down to MD wasn't a nightmare on the weekends, I'd be willing to airsoft in NJ. I don't plan on a IJN impression, but I think I got most of a USMC grunt impression.

If anyone is located in Western Pennsylvania, I think that would be an ideal place for a WWII Airsoft field. I would definitely be willing to bring some Michigan guys out there as either US airborne or IJA, (depending on the scenario) and hopefully you guys further east could come out too? The games that Nate ran were fantastic, but they were unsustainably far to get any interest from out here.
