I'm surprised no one has posted about this, Milsim west is doing a ww2 event. They are not presenting it quite as intense as their normal fare, but i'm sure it will be a great event. December 1-3 in Clovis, CA. Scroll down on the ticket page for MSW milsimwest.com/tickets/

MSW is a Great Outfit. Josh Warren (2nd Battalion 75th Ranger Regiment) puts on great events with lots of experience doing WW2 (We co hosted jump to Destiny) several years together.
Worth a trip to Clovis! Every thing is top drawer but you better be prepared for full on MilSim emmersion. There is no car camping, snivel time. You arrive and you are in role, deployed and tactical until ended. Staff and key unit leaders, advanced briefings, documentation, maps,CEOIs and op orders are all as legit as it can be. His events are as emmersive and authentic as any airsoft events period.
You fail to come prepared you will get NO sympathy from MSW. Pablum set and whiners take my advice don't go to this. You want real as it gets (while still safety focused). This is YOUR event.
Typically their impression requirements are high but not ludicrous. GnG is co sponsoring so maybe they plan more WW2 stuff!

The pictures shown are all from Jump to Destiny. Early December should be plenty of time to prep, schedule travel and attend this. I'm telling you guys he puts on the kind of events we all dream about.

MilSimwest is typically more about an authentic military emmersion than impressions and kit. I suspect if a reasonable effort to look period is made you'll be fine. They are probably trying to establish what would be an effective balance between turnout and a reasonable standard.

Also keep in mind that this is their first WWII event and they are more than likely just testing the waters with it. You should still go for the best kit you can have, obviously, but requirements will probably be no stricter than the typical WWII event run by us on the forum.

I've attended many MiiSimWest events and they are top notch. Fully immersive and you are expected to be fully self supporting for 40+ hours. It's an awesome experience and worth experiencing.
1945 is not going to as immersive, they are allowing camp setups (instead of carrying everything in your pack for the whole event) and even an option to stay at a motel (although why you would want to is beyond me).
It's all fronts so their will be American, British (yay!), German and even a really cool Japanese group, as well as civvy roles. Looser regs to get as many people to attend as possible.
That said we should strive to set the bar as high as possible. I would love to see this become a regularly scheduled big event every year.
One of my biggest regrets is never attending Jump to Destiny, so I hope to make up for it here. Looking forward to meeting all the usual suspects here and putting some faces to names.
Cheers

This is their first WW2 event as MILSIM West but their key stakeholders (Josh and Brian). Have many many WW2 events under their belt and in spite of their NATO / Warsaw Pact game emphasis I would say WW2 is their first love.
The name of the event "Jump to Destiny" was coined by RANGER Warren and our last event he was resplendent as a Cavalry mounted German officer.

I spoke with Josh Warren about this event and they have a lot of support and participation from numerous West Coast reenactment groups so 100 tickets have already been sold. G n G is a supporting sponsor which suggests to me they have an interest in expanding their WW2 weapons offerings (or perhaps deciding if they should). Normally MILSIM West event costs are in the $200.00 range so the $50.00 deal is laid out there to hopefully get things going with WW2 airsoft.
Unlike most MilSim West events as mentioned this won't be full on 48 hours in role but rather a series of tactical combining blanks and airsoft. The mix of so many theaters in one event is bizarre by their own admission but with an overall WW2 theme it should encourage additional turnout. Josh expects ultimately 150 or so folks. This is considered a small turnout by their standards and is designed to be a break even proposition for MilSim West.
There will be awards for best individual and best unit impressions as well a best encampment award. If this is successful the hope is to put it on annually. I certainly plan to be there. If anyone from this site (including full teams) want to go but feel like you need items to complete an acceptable look (US Infantry, US Airborne or Heer) just let me know. I can't supply footgear but I can cover anything else! just make a donation for shipping it there and back. with leggings and German gaitors (which I have) reasonable looking boots should create an acceptable look.
Though this won't be the full on MilSimwest treatment it will be the best and biggest WW2 airsoft event you've ever attended. Clovis is near Fresno I believe.

It will be worth it. It will be the biggest WW2 airsoft event Since the last Jump to Destiny which had 127 participants.
All theaters and all national armies at a single event with a slot for partisans as well is a bit bizarre but that should make it easier for more people to participate.

Given that unlike most MILSIM West events this one allows participants to leave and come back throughout I'm sure they will have a non tactical / non emmersive camp area. If you camp within the gameplay area they'll no doubt require military style tentage. For Jump to Destiny most of the US tentage was Man era GP Medium and GP Small tents. There were a couple WW2 dated tents however.

So stoked for this event. We have a contingent from the Regiment attending. I believe we will be running mostly 82/101 airborne. Josh and Brian host great events and I think this one will be one not to miss. If you are on the fence..buy a ticket. Glad you are going REMF!

Great to see Regiment guys coming to this. Fedy and me are stashing our Spear Gruppa gear and busting out our British Airborne ensembles. My Sten is in pieces on my workbench now. I am beyond stoked for this event. Hopefully we will see more Brits, the Horsa will seem pretty empty with just the two of us.

Definitely not prepared for it, financially or otherwise, but I'm going to make an honest effort to attend because it'll be a great introduction to Milsim at a somewhat MSW caliber; plus I really want to help WWII events gain popularity. No backing out now, registered. Plus 1 for the Axis

That's the spirit. If your doing the best that you can then that's all you can do. We need everyone who can attend to attend. If MSW can't make a WW2 event work than who can. Look forward to seeing you there you blasted Jerry

Fun looking through the pictures and seeing at least a dozen of my loaner costumes from past events. Most were from Josh and my last Jump to Destiny event.

Look forward to seeing you there you blasted Jerry Can't wait! It may be too short notice now, just thinking about the logistics involved, but I wonder if anyone will be bringing vehicles to the event? I know many here on the forum own heavy transports and it would no doubt enhance the experience to see a tank, half-track, or other personnel carrier. Heck I'd even get excited to see a period bicycle.

Any chance I could trouble anyone to bring a German army/heer belt buckle? I had ordered an enlisted belt without one to avoid offending anyone sensitive to certain symbols, however it turns out a buckle is needed to even fasten the belt. Here is what I need: Heer Buckle
