The things you find on YouTube. This appears to be a miniseries, but everything's in Chinese. There's numerous shorter clips. The numbering is somewhat nebulous, to say the least. Anyway, it seems very well done. The costuming, props etc. are all first class. It appears to be late war, since some of the Chinese are carrying M3 submachineguns. The guy who appears to be the main character is a sniper using a scoped M1941 Johnson Rifle. It's plausible, since the OSS in SE Asia picked acquired something like 4,000 Johnson Rifles and some probably ended up in Chinese hands. There's Japanese sniper involved who's carrying either a Kar98K or Chinese Type 24. It's wrapped up so it's hard to get a good look at it. Most of the Chinese are carrying either Type 24's or Arisakas (most of them with dust covers). On the Chinese side it appears, by the uniforms, there's both the Kuomintang (Nationalists) and the Communists. The main character appears to be in the PLA. There also seems to be some negotiating between the Nationalists and the Japanese (maybe something like, you go wipe out the communists and we won't interfere.) Hard to tell. Anyway, it's interesting to watch for the action scenes, which are well done.
And a related movie or series, not sure which. There's a number of clips. Google translate of the description: "Yichang Defence War 17 The drama is based on the historical events of Yichang Great Retreat in 1938 and the "Stone Wars" in 1943. It tells the story of the war of resistance in Yichang during the five years from 1938 to 1943."
Dracul: It looks like it lost a lot of steam and I now feel bad for randomly dropping off.

stuka: I mean it's not your fault. It is interesting though that things are falling off as we are finally getting our ww2 guns with the type 38/96 and the enfield as well as it recieving a new loading system, it's kind of unfortunate

Dracul: I don't know, maybe its because all the guns are becoming available, there is a decreasing need for the forums.

Dracul: Most of the talk was about making guns, as all the uniform info was already out there, but now the weapons are out there and are usually decent quality.

stuka: well the forum is and should still be useful for updates on guns, creating groups/events and building kits

savoy6: anyone know if anyone still carries the enfield?

Dracul: I think Redwolf has a Enfield. If not or not longer, then not until G&G releases theirs. The old gas Iron Airsoft brand SMLE isn't carried by anyone anymore and was such piece of crap. Not worth trying to track one down.
