A quick question for those who wear glasses. I haven't done airsoft in a couple of years, and the last event I went to I was able to see halfway decent without my glasses. Unfortunately that is no longer the case, and I need to use glasses. I am unable to fit any of the masks I have over my glasses. There is a WWII event coming up in a couple of weeks that I am attending, my question to you guys is; how do you wear your glasses during play? Do you have a larger pair of goggles you wear over them? If so what make and model goggles do you use?

I realize this may seem like a stupid question in hindsight. The problem is I am unable to fit any of the masks/goggles I have over my glasses. I don't recall meeting anyone during any of the events I went to who wore glasses, only a friend who wore contacts, but those are out of the question due to dry eye problems.

I wear the safety glasses you can get at the hardware store. Some fields won't allow them but most of the wwii Airsoft events I've been to have been on private land.

And they fit over your glasses no problem? That would definitely save me some money... as cool as those custom prescription safety glasses are, my wallet wouldn't be too happy.

I’m sure you already know this, but if you do get hardware store glasses, be absolutely certain they are ANZI Z87 rated. Some are, some aren’t. Saving money is not worth losing an eye.

My preferred combo is a ESS Crossbow with Vice prescription inserts. I tried the ESS CDI with polycarbonate lenses but the insert didn’t resist to a direct hit when I tested.

For sure I would check to make sure they are ANZI Z87 rated. Yes, definitely not worst the risk of losing an eye.

I am a huge fan of mesh masks. They breath so fogging is virtually non existance and your actual glasses block any spall that penetrates the mesh. With the exception of night games they dont impede visibility at all and they dont reflect in the sun giving you away.

Good point, if I have issues with the safety glasses fogging up I will look into a mesh mask. Easy fix.

I want to get a pair of those that fit over glasses as the no fog on the goggles is pretty sweet.
