The Hong Kong price shows $165.00 US dollars so priced in sync with the pseudo wood. This suggests that perhaps the faux wood version will come down even further in price which of course would be awesome. I am imagining these starting at $140.00 or so with plastic stock eventually. I have to say this rifle with real wood at $165.00 is HUGE or our hobby.

Using the 25% off coupon for the evike kar98s (while they aren't on sale as they are atm) the price before shipping comes to about that, 134.25.

I didnt think the 25% applied? When I bought mine it was "on sale" hence the coupon was not applicable. Shipping was free so it ended up at $160.00 or so. I remember I got my S&T real wood Springfield at $144.00 shipped which I feel strongly was a heck of a deal. A real wood Mauser that shoots as good as mine does for $165.00 is a bargain although no complaints if it goes lower. The Mauser shoots considerably harder than their Springfield (at least in the case of mine). I wouldnt hesitate to skirmish with this Kar98.
I have heard that Springfields shipped later shoot harder.

Hundreds and hundreds of rounds now put through my S &T Kar 98 and if anything it is shooting harder! I love this rifle and dont hesitate to recommend it. Hop up works great up to .28 and can easily hit human sized targets at 200 + feet and they flinch! Very accurate.

This rifle right out of the box is plenty skirmishable in a WW2 game if most players are restricted to semi auto fire and low cap mags (which is how OUR game should be played. At range you can have a round "in the mail" with a second round soon to follow. Ideally you hit your target with both but w .28 they typically feel it. If they dont fall I just smile and think oh good its a target rich environment. Sadly too many players require a burst to know they're hit. Thats why helmet hits are so satisfying.

I agree! We used to have a joke about Russian soldier. Frequently in the communist era propaganda films they were depicted like super mans, after being hit many times they are still raising and running to the enemy lines.

Nice. It accurately depicts a laminate that was quite common. It looks way better than most of the wood accessories out of Asia. Given the amount of time and effort I had to spend adapting a real wood stock to fit its definitely the way to go once these are available. Incidently I continue to be thrilled with my S & T Mauser if anything it is shooting harder and it has never misfired. I have grown accustomed to the fact that the bolt locks when the magazine is empty.

Wow $102.00! Of course that doesnt incude shipping but gads, what a deal. I absolutely love mine. I hope these come to the US in volume so we see aggressive pricing. Its logical that these shouldnt be much more than the BAR 10s and other quality VSR springers.

Lots of cool things in the TIGER AS site. A bazooka, a weathered Wetherby pistol that looks to be very well done. Several Cowboy guns and a good looking CO2 P38.

Has anyone dealt with shipping from Tiger111? How long does it take? With the current hong kong situation i'm skeptical to order from them. Wondering if anyone else has in the past.

I had some kit from them a couple years ago with no problems. I`ve just ordered a K98 on a slow air mail so I expect about 20 days until delivery. But as I`m in the UK I`m more concerned about our replica laws. I`ve asked Tiger111 to mark my membership number on the box so that UK customs see that I have a defence. I`m hoping that it eventually arrives at my door, preferably in one piece after the customs staff have had their hands all over the parcel.

How much was the slow shipping to the UK if you don't mind me asking? I shipped dozens upon dozens of my conversions to the UK (from the US). With the club membership always identified I never had any UK Customs issues although some of my rifles sat in Customs hands for ridiculous delays occasionally and there seemed to be no consistency as to how long the shipments took.

The slow shipping was still about £57 ($72), the quicker 5 day option was about £66 ($83). About as much for shipping as the gun unfortunately. Yes the customs procedure is a bit haphazard, it`s certainly the luck of the drawer, and I`ve just realised that we will be going through Brexit (withdrawing from EU) on October 31st. Although this won`t impact on stuff from the far east as such, it might turn our customs checks into a complete clustersmurf as the rules for stuff coming from the EU will change. With hindsight I can see the K98 disappearing into the void never to be see by me at all.

The only issue with a Tigger111 I had about some parts that I ordered discounted, pay for them and never shipped despite the fact that these were still appearing in stock for another couple of weeks. I don’t expect this to happen with SW 98k. You can check the shipping on their site. Sometimes they are offering discounts but the volumetric weight gets increased so the discount is actually diminished.
For Romania the shipping is going towards 80 USD so this is still not making any sense to me. What is cool is that they also have parts that can be cheap parts for conversion.

Just got the SW ZF-41 from Eu seller - and it is a total disappointment. It is only good for prop. The eye relief is just few centimeters which is totally insufficient for the placement on the replica. also it is kind of loose and the ocular is actually made out of plastic. G&G which I found not very good for actual skirmishing - is 100 times better.

Good to know that the scope is not good. I have never been a fan of scopes on airport weapons given our abbreviated range but when you get one it's nice to have them be functional.

Well surprise surprise my K98 actually arrived. I had a letter from customs yesterday with a £15 charge to import, paid that and received parcel today. Only one gripe, there is no instruction manual or speedloader in the box, not a biggy though. Waiting for some reasonable weather to have a shoot in the back garden

Mine didn't have a manual either. Everything is very straight forward. With that said even though I knew about it before hand the lock back when the magazine is empty threw me off the first few times it happened and caused me to think I had a broken gun.
Any questions you experience post them here. No doubt amongst our many S&T Kar 98 owners I'm sure we can help. Have fun. I hope you enjoy it as much as I am enjoying mine.

Mine came with a manual. I am not sure how to upload here - so PM with your email if you want it (it has an exploded view there not anything else really).

Thanks for sending me the file. I printed it and will hang onto it for future reference. I love the "Chinglish" instructions. The Exploded view is always helpful and always worthwhile. This is why we have this Forum!
