Hello guys, I know for a fact that the vast majority of STEN Mk.IIs (if not all of them) were cheaply painted instead of blued\dulited\parkerized. But what about the Lee Enfield No.4 Mk.I? Was it painted as well or properly blued?

Not entirely certain, but I think the No. 4 was blued.

most of those I saw were blued and over painted black - thin layer....

Yeah, I heard that the Lee Enfield were "painted" over the blued metal as well...but I dunno if the painting process took place after WW2, just like the parkerization of Thompson SMGs...
