"For the fatherland" can also be said:: Für das Vaterland!
Any others that we could help translate?

I always thought it would start with Sie instead of Die. Perhaps that was just a typo, but I'm pretty sure it is Sie kommen von rechts, Sie kommen von links, and Sie sind hinter uns.

Well, I used "die", because it is another more specific way of clarifying who is coming. If one were unsure of who exactly (axis, allied, civilian) is coming, then "sie" is ok, but if one has already encountered the specific unit (example a a squad of american soldiers), then by using "die" one implies to everyone else that the same group is coming. Again, the use of "sie" and "die" is often interchangeable. I would say that in this situation either is appropriate. "Die" just seems to flow better to me, that's all.

I am from Austria, so i can probably help you with german. there are some grammar errors or simply phrases nobody would speak this way:
Covering Fire: Gibt mir Feuerschutz! ( Gib/Gebt ( single/plural) mir Feuerschutz!) I give up: Ich ergebe mich! or Ich gebe mich auf! (Ich gebe auf !) Stay quiet (to the entire group)!: Seid still! or Ruhig bleiben! ( or: Seid leise!) Fire where I am firing: Feuer geben wo ich schiesse! or Schiesst ihr genau wo ich schiesse! ( i don´t exactly know what it should mean in Englisch but the translation is gramatical incorrect : Feuert/Schießt auf was ich schieße/feure! ( if this should not mean where but when : Schießt wenn ich schiesse!) Wait for my signal: Wartet ihr auf meinem Signal! ( at the moment this means they should stay onto the Signal , like sit on a chair. Correct would be: Wartet auf mein Signal ! Stay in contact: Im Kontakt bleiben. ( In Kontakt bleiben) Let's break into groups: Teilen wir uns im Gruppen ( Teilen wir uns in Gruppen!) -Tanks: (obviously) Panzern ( Panzer is single and plural) -Mortars: Granatwerfern ( same as above: ein Werfer, viele Werfer ... One mortar, many Mortars) Trench: Grab ( Grab means grave; Correct : Graben ) too strong: Zu kraeftig ( better : Zu stark !)
If you got anything else to translate, let me know...

Thanks for clarifying a few things for me Boehler. There were a few things like the "shoot where I shoot" that I did not exactly know how to say. Plus a few errors. Wenn ich fragen darf, wo wohnen sie denn in Oesterreich? Nun ja, noch einmal Danke!

Guten Morgen
Ich wohne im Süden Österreichs , Kärnten um genau zu sein, und in der Nähe der Landeshauptstadt Klagenfurt. Ich muss sagen dein Deutsch ist ausgezeichnet. Lernt ihr Deutsch in der Schule oder hast du es dir aus Eigenem Interesse angelernt?
For those who cant understand it like jaeger I am from south Austria, Carinthia exactly, near the regional capital Klagenfurt. Your German is excellent. Do you learn German in school, or did you learn it because of own interesst?
Mfg A.W.

Hitler treibt es mit Schweinen. or Hitler liebt es mit Schweinen zu schlafen. or Hitler fic*t Schweine.
but what should this tell us? Or was it only a bad example of German language? Or simply a sign of bad taste? ;D

This is hard to answer, because it depends on the situation. But " Drecks Ami" oder " Scheiß Ami" ( plural: Amis ) is a very simple taunt..... could be used any time ;D.
Hmm give me a Taunt and i will try to translate it, I will think about it probably i will find some phrases.

For put your waepons down or I'll shoot you may be able to say: "Waffen am Boden stellen oder ich werde schiessen!" A Sanitaeter could talk to his patient by saying: -stay calm: ruhig bleiben -press down here (i.e. for a wound): hier drucken! -now you can finally go home!: Jetzt kannst du endlich nach Hause! -Where do you have pains?: Wo hast du schmerzen? -can you walk?: Kannst du laufen? -where are you injured?: Wo bist du verletzt/verwundet/getroffen (I think)? -Is it bad?: Ist es schlecht? -How bad is it?: Wie schlecht ist es? -Can you move it?: Kannst du es bewegen? -It's not so bad: Es ist nicht so schlecht. All I could think of at the moment. Let me know if there are any other phrases you may want to try and translate/say. I hope Boehler sees this and can correct me (wenn es Fehler gibt) . Nick
