We like to apply the "when shot fall dead" rule around the midwest area and most of the WW2AA...

thats what i do too but sometimes we will play a 3 shots youre out game.

Honestly if we are trying to be realistic then i would say the 1 shot rule, or unless u get hit in th leg or arm, if its the chest or head, ur pretty much a goner...

1 shot rule is easy becuase then people cant lie about not being shot 3 times, your hit your down your dead simple.

Dont point a gun at anyone if your not in a game, and that about covers it, if you do that in addition to having the safty on and the mag out.

what kind of eye protection do i need? is there anything that is period and german? do we (and this will sound so idiotic) need eye protection?

Ofcourse you need eye protection. There is nothing that is period, as dust off goggles arent made for projectiles like these. I would just get some wiley X's, they are really nice. Some feilds though might make you use sealed goggles, or even a full face mask.
