Depends- Yes, it is an asset, but if you live in a 'northern tier' state where it gets C-O-L-D in the winter, then the gun looses some potency. Other than that, yes I believe we are all happy with our weapons. Before you buy one however, there is a member here willing to sell his with 10 clips, already 'tweaked' and sighted in, for less than retail. It sure would make a great "Merry Christmas to myself" present He is selling it because he currently has 3 Garands- Not because of any problems with it. -G

i'm verry happy with mine, and I feel that more people should start buying and useing them, as it was the main infantry weapon of US troops during ww2. and it's looks woring with 20 guys all having a thompson..

I am if I get decent money for it and I'm assured it's going to a good home! It has lots of TLC and a bunch of extras. 10 spare clips, all the internal screws tightened and loctited, proper breakin and a leather sling as well as a saving Private Ryan movie prop rubber 10" bayonet (sheathed) Original box tools and papers along with 800 .45 gram 8mm BBs. In addition the clips come in a period correct cloth bandoleer. I'm probably in all that about 660.00? maybe a little more. I would sell it (delivered in the US for 560.00)
I now have three M1 Garands with my two AEG customs so it's redundant to me. Having said that you have to understand I love the gun. It works literally better then new.

Spam blocker is apparently the issue. (my son tells me) I'm roadkill on the information highway PM guiness or Schmiddy. They both have my e-mail and I'll authorize them giving you my e-mail and then you can contact me directly. Be sure to say WW2 airsoft in the caption.

He most likely never receives the reply email to authorize his account- I know everyone of my reply emails to him gets kicked back- so his AOL spam filter must be set to 'deny all' or something If you could go ahead and authorize his account he should be ok I'm thinking. As long as he remembers the password he setup -G

Gak!!!! That would be great and I must have written it down somewhere? I'm incredibly incompetent about such things. I am going to go ahead and put the Garand on Ebay along with other WW2 stuff since my garage frankly looks like the quarter masters supply shack and my wife is about to move out!
I fully supplied literally a half dozen guys for the NW game and didn't even dent the inventory. I figure if I have full gear in a variety of sizes for 10 guys that should be more then I'll ever wish I had so I'm going to sell off the rest!
I have a whole lot of costume quality US uniforms that might be good loaner uniforms for getting folks started. Tan jackets, (Epaulets, slash pockets) brown wool slacks, leggings and just enough web gear to make em look good. All a guy'd need is boots and a steel pot and his impression would be pretty decent. I'm looking for around $60.00 per set plus shipping
Lot's of web gear, uniform items and assorted stuff. The Marushin garand will be the biggest most expensive item.

Wait!!! stop the presses! I just posted your costume thing on the COASG (Colorado Airsoft Group) site- wait a day or so before you post them on eBay please because I'm pretty sure we can help you clean that 'ol garage out before the wife starts packing! BTW, did you think you had something in a nice overcoat or Jeep coat/Mackinaw in 39 for moi? -Chris

Pvt Mills-
use JDRobison@aol.com but you have to put "WW2Airsoft" or "WW2AA Forum Account" in the subject line so he can identify it in his bulk mail- it seems his spam filter is set to 'deny all' haha and if you don't throw something in there about WW2 airsoft, he never sees it.

They can make rubber k98s for SPR, I guess they can make believable clips.

you cant bring in airsoft clips?? man, your teachers a female dog.
When I was in school I was able to bring my gun for photography, I talk to the principle about it, and was able to show him what airsoft was by showing him on line sites about airsoft. the day I brought it in, the school cop, and the principle were present when I got the gun, and the cop stayed while I had it in class, and stayed with me until I put it back in my car.
It was a great photo.

tape 2 d cell batteries together and put them in each of the pouches and bandoleirs, that will give you an idea of what the stuff weighed.
man when I was little, (7th grade), I took a collectors armory full metal luger into school, I rememebr all the teachers being annoyed I had brought it in, but no one tried to take it from me, they just said "thats nice, ok back to work now" I mean there was no way to tell this thing was fake LOL. Those were the old days, (sigh) -Gordak

That's funny Gordak! I did the same thing with mine! And we used my collectors armory .45 auto in our senior play. ahhh the good old days- when kids brought guns to school they were toys, not 9mm 'gats' -G

I'm surprised one of us Garand owners hasn't already been all over this Yes Chief, the 'Forane' ( 'Engrish' for "Freon") HFC134a is just fine for your Garand, and as a matter of fact it's the only recommended gas for most all Japanese guns. Enjoy! -G

I just got an inquiry about the Marushin Garands I had and wanted to state that I appreciate the interest but they are both sold and delivered. I'm now down to my 3 Garand custom AEGs. :< !!!!! I do miss the blowback action and coolness factor but must say I love the way the AEGs shoot as well.
