Unlike most japanese gas guns it handles green gas just fine. (It is not a GBB) which is probably why. It shoots very well and is extremely accurate. Almost too accurate for a short weapon.

A single charge of green gas in a magazine is good for about 4 refills of Bbs before it has to be charged up again. (Sometimes more if you space shots out more) With a 14 round magazine that gives you around 60 or so shots. I have two spare magazines and find that this is enough to function effectively in a game.

How do I explain this? The Marushin, gas powered, 8mm M1 carbine requires that you cock it each time beteen shots. So it is unfortunately single shot, not semi automatic like the real gun. With that said it has a fairly clever extension forward of the bolt that channels inside your fingers when they are wrapped around the stock. This allows you to pump the shots at remarkable speed while pointing the weapon at your target.
The net effect is an impressive rate of fire for a single shot weapon. Combined with the power, accuracy and range makes it remarkably competitive on the field. The extension is not terribly distracting from an appearance perspective (since your hand is covering it) and is removable with a couple screws. Without it you charge the bolt with each shot as though you had a misfire. (not nearly as convenient)

If it is not semi auto whats the whole point of the gas?

If it is not semi auto whats the whole point of the gas? The gas propells the 8mm bb. All the gas is discharged through the barrel so nothing is wasted on making the bolt cycle.

I see .... thats still kind of stupid you think they would go ahead and make it semi auto. Not many people will buy them once they figure that out.

Ive just bought one of these lollipops s all i can say it gives the mighty Tanaka K98 a good run for its $$$$ i run mine on 134a and abbey ultra gas, but i know people that run them on green you need to remember when running gas guns that have blow-back.............. if you fire off several rounds one after the other, you could have the horable problem of VENTING or cool down................... this gun works fine without the any blow back system try looking at the M1Garand if you want a rifle with GBB

Yes, but why? ? While it is one of the best shooting and most accurate stock guns available, it after all a carbine in size and role. At best you're shooting how far? ? Scopes on airsoft guns is foley pure and simple. I say that but of course I have some airsoft guns with scopes mounted on them.
