Looks like a great alternative to the WA 1911. I might have to pick one up!

Thanks for posting that!! IT looks REALLY good!,
My resoning for sticking with the manga-tec scw 3 WA pistols, Is I have 3 of them, and the fact that the magazines are interchangable is critical.
Iven if I were gettign a .45 for the first time II would go WA, because, Id know that later Id be buying more WA pistols, and Id want to share the mags.
With marui, there would be no other .45s to get (im sure they will make a silver one) and the mags wouldnt work in the Uber-high quality SCW2.
So, my opinion, if you want a .45 for $110 get the WA scw3 Govt. -Gordak

i have 3 WA 1911. 1 military, 1 series 70 and 1 kimber Custom II. alle use the same mags
i now have 5 WA mags. thats $250 just in mags. i'm not going to buy another 1911 that uses other mags. just to save $100 if i buy another 1911A1 then its goin to be WA.

Well I was going to write a revue of this but I don't think I can top that so I'll just add a few of my own observations.
I ordered the new TM GBB 1911a1 from Redwolf and although I asked them to cover the trademarks with tape instead they super glued a piece of plastic over them!!! It was a real mess getting it off and the glue had filled in the etched markings. In the end I decided to give it a heavily weathered paint job to make it look like a well worn combat veteran.
Overall It is a very impressive piece that looks and feels great and is a total bargain compared with many other WWII weapons.
The few things I didn't like are that you have to remove the slide to adjust the hop up, and loading the magazine is rather difficult due to the fact that you need to hold the follower all the way down with your fingernail (spring completely compressed) and load the BB's near the bottom of the mag. TM does include a tool for holding it compressed while you load it but who wants to have to carry another tool with them ?
The good news is that in typical TM fashion, It works fabulous and is very accurate!!
Overall I would highly recommend this piece to anyone thinking of buying a GBB allied weapon, You won't be disappointed.

Hey Schmitty does the grip safety work? And since Gordaks going with the WA and your going with the TM which one has better accuracy? Thanks ahead of time.

Yes the grip safety is functional. I don't have much experience with the WA guns but a long time ago (3 years?) me and a fellow airsofter had a target shoot contest with his WA GBB 1911 vs my TM 1911 springer (the $35-40 one) and the springer was way more accurate and consistent.

yeah I know what your talking about, that was the old school WA, and as we all know, marui springers are pretty damn good, ive seen them hold out against AEGS!! I think the scw3 would impress you Schmitty, Hell, Ill send u mine if you are willing to do a review of the two . let me know -Gordak

... the SCW3 is only maybe roughly 20 dollars more expensive than the TM..... so i dont think price is the issue...., just preference. obvious pointing outs..... WA has made more 1911s and variants than we can count... if theyre still making more and selling more, theyre obviously doing something right.... TM has proven itself many times with their variety of pistols....... and im sure there will be tons of internal and external upgrades coming out for this in the near future.... so again, i think it all boils down to preference. also, i wanna get one, but how to get past customs with trades intact? ive never HKed before, so i need some words of wisdom on that. Cuz as far as i can see, Appearance and Trades are just as important as form and functionality to most of the people here. including me, more so even in some cases.

I agree with apache about the trades, I was pretty dissapointed with what Redwolf did to my new toy. It's kind of a crapshoot with ordering from overseas with what they will do to trademarks. I've had some with nothing covering them at all (The TM 1911 springer for example) and most with putty (pretty easy to remove) or tape (very easy to remove) but this was by far the worst.
Gordak: I wasn't meaning to imply that WA guns aren't accurate, Just that gas guns in general aren't real consistent and springers are probably the most reliable gun you can own and therfore a good dependable side arm. I suspect the new TM colt and the WA are both good reliable weapons and either one would serve the allied WWII airsofter well.

I got my TM 1911 today and my god, accuracy, range unbelievable. I do own 3 WA1911's and this just out shoots the lot of them. They don't feel as nice, but then after handling a $220 SW1911 nothing feels that nice ever again. I've got my hop tuned for 0.25's and its just beautiful.
I wasn't planning on getting one, but I fired my friends one and I just had to have it.
