Ok but from what I hear the BAR is not gonna give you much bang for your buck, so Id go with a thompson or a carbine. The reason is that they are easy guns to operate and maintain than the garand or grease gun. But being german I love my panzerschreck and mortar. Im not sure where to get the thompson or carbine in stock, but always always always check EBAY!! Most of the time they will have what your looking for.

Hey thanks guys, im thinking the Thompson, the carbine and m1 and grease gun i found out are all gas, so i guess its the Thompson that came out on top, its a shame, i love the Thompson but it would be nice to have a m1 carbine AEG folding stock (paratrooper) for the price of a Tokyo Marui Thompson, or a AEG m1, not a m14 conversion, too much money for me.

gaairsoft.com is a well known retailer. personally by me. Excellent customer service. Not always the cheapest but service during and after the sell are top notch not something you get with every low price place you see on the web...He has the TM Thompson in stock along with hicap mags.

Of the choices provided if you prefer an AEG (Good call) as you've discovered you're limited to the Thompson only. There is no AEG BAR, only an ancient, early, not terribly functional (for skirmishing) gas BAR that will cost you $2,000.00 plus if you can find one and will require an external gas source. There is the Gas Marushin Garand which is highly technical and persnickety and sadly not very practical for competitive skirmishing. The Grease gun is only available as a gas blow back unless you find a custom conversion (It'll cost you dearly if someone will part with it, probably $800.00 to 1,000.00) The Garand conversion of an M-14 to an M1 is an AEG but as you know is $700.00. It features Lots of wood and real steel, a very unique look on the battle field and is probably the closest in cost to a Thompson with somewhat superior performance. One thing to consider is if you put real wood on the Thompson using the available custom kits it actually priced somewhat less. The Marushin carbine is an excellent gun but not truly semi automatic and powered by gas. As you can see there are still not many choices for WW2 guns especially US weapon using electric guts. I can't believe none of the manufacturers have come out with an AEG Garand which seems so logical and could be easily done. STAR? MARUI, G&G are you listening? ? Apparently not.

haha yeah, i want an m1 carbine and convert it to a folding paratrooper stock. it maybe cost me about 500, 600 bucks, but also i could cost a m1 garand from an m14 for about 700, so im not too sure

Well at the price of sounding self serving it goes without saying that I recommend the M-14 conversion! It truly does make for a unique, showcase weapon, highly appropraiet for your impression and on top of all that extremely functional and competitive without hassle or effort after the fact.
by the time you add real wood to a Thompson, or mod a carbine to a folding stock you're in the same neighborhood dollar wise. The Garand is a real reach out and touch someone rifle. Straight shooting, accurate and consistent as hell. It feels great great aiming a weapon that in large part is literally the real deal. Who knows maybe some of the parts actually saw action during the war. kind of a cool thought at least to me. Self serving of course to say all this but I truly do feel it when I'm using one of my rifles in a skirmish.

i never thought of it that way, if somebody could buy a tokyo mauri m14, and a conversion kit, i am willing to pay 700 dollars for the conversion. If you need anymore cash on supplies, contact me, i want a AEG m1, wow hell it would be nice, it was my favorite weapon until i found out it is only gas powered, i like the thompson, but range isnt very well on it and it is very common even though in war time it was used for only higher ranks. The m1 carbine i like but would cost in the same range as the m1, but wouldnt be able to shoot semi. The BAR i found out is like 2 grand, and isnt even worth it. Well thanks, im thinking about the m14 conversion, if you find one, or if anyone could make one for me, please PM me.

Thompson is the way to go, and DEN Trinity is the place to buy it. They have a package deal that comes with a high cap magazine and free express shipping for $328. It comes with a battery, as well, that you'll never need to replace if you keep your gun stock (its an 8.4v 1300mah battery but its never gone dead on me during a day and a full charge before). All you'll need to do is buy a charger somewhere and you'll be ready to rock! The package came to me in California in a week. www.dentrinityshop.com/pr_list.jsp?cid=AEG&bid=AEGPO&pg=5&rpp=10Get package A As for the AEG Garand, maybe you should buy the wood peices for a real M1 Garand and maybe some of the outer metal parts and try to re-build it with M14 parts? or maybe you can use a Ver.6 mechbox? They're pretty small. Anyways, sounds like an expensive project. =P

nope. I live in So Cal, USA and the package came without fail. I also know people who have bought things from them and didnt have to pay any extra hidden fees either. The check-out is a little strange but in the end the price is sooo worth it. You save like $20-$50 if you really look at other places with the shipping, and keep in mind that it comes with the hi cap magazine wich is like $35-$50 elsewhere.

The M-14 to M1 conversion is available through Hooah Airsoft as a finished gun built on a new Marui M-14 for $700.00 plus shipping for all WW2 airsoft members. You can get tons of details on it in the airsoft market thread or technical thread

Go to the exhaustive threads on M1 Garand AEG or M14 to M1 Garand conversions sprinkled throughout this web site forum board and you'll see lots of pictures and read tons of info about the kit or conversion guns. Pictures include some from both customers adaptations and mine. These threads are both in the impression marketplace and under technical (A seperate thread at the top)
