Sorry my message was cut off, anyway, Marushin is coming out with the M2 carbine, that has the same features as the M1, but is GBB, and (from what I've heard) has semi and full auto capabillities! That's right no more cocking that dang M1, give it a shot of gas and rock away! I'm sure we'll hear more details soon.

I happen to love the Marushin M1 Carbine. It still is my favorite WWII Airsoft weapon. Take this from a guy that LOVES blow back. But the cocking causes you to be more selective with your shots and all the power is put through the barrel. No gas is wasted blowing back the receiver. Will I buy the M2? Hell yes...if it ever comes out.

there are 2 things that have to bee there for me to buy it.
1. possibility of locking it on semi and removing the full auto. 2. possibility of puting it in a M1A1 frame.

Let's just hope you can use the M1 mags in the M2. I have a gut feeling you won't be able to.

Common sense would dictate that the gun should be compatable with the M1 Mags, but experiance has taught us that people dont have all that much common sense. I guess one could only hope they decided too and made the gun compatable, the only way I plan on getting a Carbine is if the M2 is compatable with the M1 mags, I just dont like the look of the M2 mags.

1. possibility of locking it on semi and removing the full auto. /quote] I don't think you'd have to lock it, just shoot on semi for a game.

Years ago (1986?) Marushin had a variation of a carbine that was GBB but ejected shells individually loaded with BBs. The gas went into the gun itself. As you can imagine it operated very inconsistently and was a lot of work to set up. It didn't shoot especially hard and the shells were both expensive and easy to lose. (same shells as the KG-9 cocker) I had a non blowback springer that worked like that but was a mini 14. It ultimately broke at the cocking handle.

Typical japanese new gun release and any ones guess. I'd ceryainly be interested ina semi M1 carbine even if it was gas. I'd prefer an AEG however.

I's love to get an M2 and I've actually been looking more into it recently. When/If I get it I'd like to put it in the para stock, but gunfreak, I dont understand why you cant keep the full auto feature if its put in one of those? If I did any WWII impressions I'd keep it on semi but if I was going up against modern weapons in a mixed battle I'd definetly use full auto. =D Also, I dont know what they're thinking by not making an AEG version of it, that would make it an automatic buy for me. Anyways, I heard on Arnie's Airsoft Forums that First Factory is going to get M2s and be selling them this September. I really hope its true, but I also hope that I find a website that isnt entirely Japanese so that I can actually order one. I also found the price to be 39800 yen which I converted to be roughly $347. Here's the Arnie's airsoft topic: www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=69349&st=0Here's the Mojii fax sheet: www.mojji.com/jp/fax/fax1577.htmThe la gunshop has got something on the carbine: www.la-gunshop.com/

**More Pictures!! Check out what I found on Arnie's** Look at what it says: "Copyrights Arms Magazine September 2006" Could that mean that these weapons really will come out in September?? I do hope so, cause then we can get our hands on them sooner. But there are also some interesting items in there. Like the MP-40GBB and the P-38NBB. Those should be pretty cool. It seems like all the Gas WWII/WWI guns being made are 8mm. Maybe to give them more power or maybe realism? Its cool with me though. Most arent meant to shoot a ton of ammo, so its better to have more power and accuracy. Here is the link for the Arnie's Topic: www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=74112&st=0

Magazines often come out with an addition that's a solid month ahead of the actual date. The infor release in this magazine has nothing to do with the expected release of the gun itself. Rumors of key manufacturers pending new models often go on for YEARs. I've given up holding my breath until I see them in stock and with a delivered price from a retailer.

Point taken. I best just keep it in the back of my mind. =) Still hope it comes out soon though.

From my limited, poor, and rusty Japanese, I think this show was in Tokyo from July 13-16. In the last lines of the descriptions they have a number then a character. That character is the one for month, hence under the M2 it says September, and the MP40 it says October. I couldn't catch much more than that other than the M2 has a diecast body, and I think it's going to be priced at 41,790 yen = $359 USD, and the MP40 is full auto only, and mentions something about a demonstration, maybe demonstration model? Like I say though, my Japanese skills are crap-ola, so take take what you wish from it lol .

Some websites are allowing you to reserve a carbine, and mid-September is definitely the release date.

As a store owner, distributors and importers assured me it would be out this september BUT i know airsoft makers are over-optimistic with release dates (Marushin notoriously so).
Main importer in Spain for this brand, says magazines of M1 can be used in the M2, but long ones (M2 comes with one of these) cannot be used with older M1s.
I've wanted one since before they announced their Garand, but I will wait until some guinea p...., since some nice people buy and try them first ;D

my question is what the price for the mags will be
|
|
|
Post by gunfreak on Sept 12, 2006 13:29:49 GMT -5
i'm guessing around $50 it would be almost imposible to sell mags over that price.
the M1 cost around $50, i guess the M2 wil cost the same, and for WW2 airsoft you should only use the M1 mags anyway
