hey all i just had a small idea on the gas system of the garand so bear with me remind you guys i don't have one yet. at www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/?filnavn=/reviews/m870/../3psa_co2_adapter/3psa_co2_adapter_review.htmthere is a co2 conversion external tank look at the pic and you will get the drift. now the idea is for those that don't want an external because it takes the realism away so here i go if u look at the pic of the co2 holder its not that big i am guessing the buttstock of the garand is pretty big right so if your skilled with your hands get a dremmel and slightly hollow the buttstock of the garand get a new hose shorter prob then drill a hole right before the trigger mech and run the hose to the fill hole. if it works then your running co2 canisters which hopefully last longer and all u do is pull it out and drop a new canister in. just something to feed some thoughts justin

All of this info is available in the tech section in past threads discussing the Marushin Garand. The gas garands fill through the base of the gun below the receiver group and you simply squeaze your 134 R gas into the nozzle until liquid starts to squirt out. You then let it set for a minute of so and you're ready to fire. (Be sure you have a loaded magazine in the gun or all your gas will simply flow out of the gun and you'll wonder why it never filled!) Once full of gas you'll get anywhere from 3 to five clips on a single charge (24 to 40 rounds) before you'll have to fill the gun with gas again. Awkward in the field for sure. The CO2 concept is a good one as a slow rate of semi fire should keep you away from the freezing aspects of Co2 and represent a pretty realistic rate of fire. I'd be interested in the number of rounds a guy could get on a 12 ounce cartridge. I'm sure it'll be better then the regular Marushin set up but then again you are firing 8mm BBs with the gas Garand. There is plenty of room for the set up you're talking about in the butt stock and it's already somewhat hollowed out for the oiler through the trap door (Like on the real gun)
