Hello everybody! About 1-2 months ago my Double Eagle spring MP-40 broke. I didn't think much of it, since it was only $15 total and my CYMA AK-47 was also in service. However, after playing a few rounds with a few friends (don't worry, no one else saw), I came to the realization that the AK-47 was dreadfully overpowered for that purpose and it, quite honestly, got a little boring just overpowering them like that. Anyways, Considering how I felt that the MP-40 was a decent gun for the money and Now i had a spare mag, I got a new one. There's a major problem though; Every shot I fire veers about 15-20 degrees to the left. My old one never had this problem, and I'm pretty sure I didn't somehow become a terrible shot. I'm imagining that the spring is out of line, because all the shots are very consistent. If I keep the gun steady I can fire a BB at a sticky target, and then hit that BB with another shot. Its just all extremely far left of where I'm actually aiming. Is this a fixable problem? If I opened up the gun can I (or someone else) repair whatever the problem is? Or should I send it back? Which I probably won't do because the gun was $20 and shipping was $17 (kapowwe.com). My first one was $1 and shipping was $14 (eBay) Thank you ;D NOT MY PIC

I take back my original statement. The shots are anything but consistent, at long range anyways. I was just shooting it outdoors and there were bbs going EVERYWHERE. a few managed to hit where i was aiming, but only a few. Most were indeed going to the left, but a few actually flung right. 90% had a bizarre trajectory where the bb flung upwards and left, and then steered downwards and right, landing in the general direction of where i was aiming, but still nowhere close.

Nimlas's right, don't worry about it because its basically unfixable, there is very little you could possibly do to it, other than opening up the gun and mixing the internals with your old guns' internals. I had one of these and wanted to see if I could do something fun with it, but I couldn't, and now it's in 20 pieces on my worktable, its parts going to different projects.

Since when is OVERPOWERING not fun??? What has this world come to?...seriously you have a better chance of hitting them by throwing that gun at them.

Either keep it for a Halloween party/trick-or-treating with your kids if you have them...or recycle it. It looks like a prop, a bad one at that, so treat it as such. I've known guys to sink well over $200 into these for spare parts and extra magazines...STOP wasting your money. Do the research. If you can't afford good gear SAVE your money. You will begin to appreciate the tried and true wisdom that can be gleaned from others' experiences here. There's nothing more deterring than receiving crappy/cheapo gear and wasting your money...that also means that you should not go to Walmart for your Airsoft needs as well.
