They were cut down great coats, but the great coats are cut down in a mackinaw style. They were thus called Mackinaws by the average GI.

This will be my first event so I'm exsited, And the thought of an MG42 and frezzing temps makes me want to never go home again ;D. I've been a Boy Scout for years now(kind of lame I know ) so That weather is like a home away from home to me. I'll be with the 45th so eat it krauts!!!!!! (make me eat my words)

I've been a Boy Scout for years now(kind of lame I know ) I guess I'm REALLY lame then cause I'm an Eagle Scout. What's lame about camping, spending time outdoors under the stars and doing things that other city kids only dreamed of doing? I think if kids today were more involved in Scouting this world would be a lot better off. Sorry to rant. ;D

Some how I mange to play football and stay in scouting ;D. Belive me a low of 17 nothing. This febuary we went camping the high was -5. Just tents and the clothes on our backs, a true test manhood. . Ya but eagle for me is getting harder and harder.
