You're probably wondering what the hell I'm talking about and why it's here in the video game section.well....... Besides airsoft one of my other hobbies is collecting and restoring old (1960's -1980's) coin op arcade games. And I recently picked this one up from a warehouse in Vancouver Canada. It's from 1978 called "Tracer" made by Sega of USA. It's your basic classic shooting gallery type game but what intrigued me was it has two very accurate scale M1928 Thompson SMG's The guns are cast metal with real wood furniture and they have a great recoil feature that makes them jump around when firing. For some reason they left off the fore grips. Schmitty

AWESOME!!! You have your own arcade! How does the U-boat game work, that looks very interesting. Is there like a virtual submarine when you look in the periscope or somthing?

gad, I think I played that U boat game when I was a kid. If I remember correctly, a silhouette of a ship would appear moving from one side to the other, and you had to move the periscope and then fire a torpedo to hit the ship. Some ships were medical ships and if you detsroyed them, game over

U-boat is from 1969 made by MCI. It is a Electromechanical game (no video monitor) A rotating disc projects images of ships onto a screen. The player must track the ships with the periscope and fire torpedos. If you miss, your sub dives and you must avoid depth charges. Pretty clever stuff considering there is no computer involved. All done with motors and relays, Only the sound effects are electronic.

I think you should get removable fore grips for the m1928's, like put velcro strips on the inside of the grips and under the gun barrel. obviously not permanent so it can retain it's value, but just if you ever want to use them and have a better aim.

No they wouldn't, Besides I like the game the way it is. And there isn't much reason to make custom airsoft Thompsons since you can already buy one.
