The worst thing to hear a kid say in the middle of a battle is, "Hmm, that worked for Christina Agulara..." Again I do not want to fight along side that kid...

At Lion Claws 4 (Two years ago) the running password for the RANGERs was Britany Spears. I'm an old dude so naturally I pretended to fein ignorance adn said "Who's Brittany Spears?" Everyone laughed. The next day it was Christina Agullera and I truly had no idea. I actually thought the music video was pretty good.
Girls dressed as flag staff naval officers works for me and the tribute to rosie the rivetor was kinda nice.

When in a battle I cant stand the use of modern day names or celebritys as a base of discussion or codes...that is another pet peeve of mine...Its 1943 (or whatever battle your fighting) not 2007 I fear that this little minor detail can grow to be a major problem to this sport.

I guess I wasn't paying attention to the lyrics and thank you Nimlas for pointing out that Lion Claws is a contemporary themed game. The location this year looks so much like Afghanistan that it's creepy for the vets helping design the gameplay.
I agree that in WW2 games you want to keep the lingo, codes, call signs and demeanor as period correct as possible. Running passwords weren't typically used but if they were Betty Grable or Marlene Dietrich would have been the cats meow.

Not to go too far off topic but, that brings a thought to mind. Does anyone remember the name of that site that sells the old fashioned radios retrofitted with CD players in them? I think he does it specifically for reenactors.

I would have gone "Britney Spears? Do you mean Lt. Spears? Yeah, he's a platoon leader over at Dog company, 506th. Don't ask him for cigarettes though."

hell of a recruiting tool that one, or three depending on how you see it. Definitely beats the stupid dragster the Army owns.
