Yay, someone else who likes Hidden and Dangerous 2 as much as I do. I'll be looking forward to Hell's highway but the first two BIA games are not my favorites.

I definitely cannot wait for it! I was reading up on some of the new features of the game and I'm quite excited lol. Fortunately it's coming out BEFORE I mobilize for Ft Bragg... looks like I'll have something to do in my off time while on deployment :-p

Is it like the earlier Brother In Arms games? I didnt like them and couldnt play more than 30 minutes before I took it back to the store and traded it in on another Call of Duty or Medal of Honor game.

Yea but I didnt like the earlier ones either but I still love this one. You still command your squad and supress the enemy and somewhat. Other than that its almost redone. The aim is steadier, its harder to be killed, your squad is less Guy on a short bused, and the game allows you to save earlier. Not to mention that the graphics are real good.

I went to Wal Mart last night and they didnt have it. I didnt want to drive the 30 miles to the nearest video game only store and my birthday is coming up next week so I think I'll let my son give it to me for my birthday instead.

I reserved my copy like five months ago, LIMITED EDITION that is. Its an awsome game finally feels more like combat. not that I would kow what real combat was like . I like how just cause you can see the enemy doesnt always mean they see you, so he wispers and the gore factor in this game is off the hook! You lob a grenade to them.......they lob an arm, leg , or half thier body back at you. The slowmo sequence is awsome too. Just check it out yourselves I cant do it any justice with words.

The controls take a little bit to get use to. I keep running my squads all over the place try'n to use the left trigger button for aiming as in COD3. ;D

Its an only Allied game unfortunately . I don't know why people haven't made a German based First Person Shooter yet.

Because the market would be cut in half, it'd probably be banned in Europe if it glamorized Nazis. Perhaps if they did a game based on a german unit that didn't side with Nazim, maybe, but I doubt it since a lot of people think German = Nazi. Also, so is it like the original Brothers in Arms?

Got it yesterday and i must say that the grapichs are outstanding..and there seems to be a little more depth in the storyline..And as mentioned earlier the controls take some getting used to.. i accidently blew my assault crew to pieces when i was setting a satchel charge on a 88. i had given them the "Follow me" order and when i ran away from the 88 the Bot-Boys ran straight towards it.BOOOM!!.No they are not that clever but they make for some unintentional ingame fun.. On the downside is that the enemy A1 is pretty bad..Some of the missions are almost to easy..

I also just got it and i will have to say this game is amazing and worth every penny. It makes you think before you make your next move and i love when you hit that guy with a grenade and body peices just fly everywhere. If your thinking about buying this game you really should its amazing.

can you turn off the close-up cinematic thing? I saw it in some previews but I'm not sure if it made the final cut

Just bought it yesterday. So far I'm very impressed. It even came with a Matt Baker action figure and a mini comic book. Apparently there is going to be a regular "BIA" comic book series.
If you change the control scheme to "tour of duty" it makes the left trigger into the more familiar "iron sights" scheme, at least on xbox 360 probably similar for others.
It seems much easier to aim than the previous two BIA games which I played on PC. I swear in those games you could aim directly at an enemy 10 feet away and not hit them which was my only major gripe with the game.
Overall, highly recommended.

the fact is that you probebly did hit them, but as it takes 3 shots from a Garand and 5-6 shots from a thompson to take down a german it wasn't very realistic, I downloaded a realism mod, and it only took 1 shoot to take a german down, and lo and behold, the whole problem with not "hiting" disapeard

After playing the game for a few days now I can say I'm disappointed, especially after all the hype.
First off it looks like Gear Box was trying to make a movie more than a game. I don't mind the movie-like approach as long as it doesn't take away from the game but it seems they could have spent less time making the movie parts to improve on the game parts.
Second, the game's controls are real buggy. I can say I haven't had the same problems with COD2, 3 or 4 so I'm thinking it's the programing. For example...some times I have to hit the "dig in" button several times before Baker actually does it. It's also kind'a funny that I can have my flanks exposed to the enemy but as long as I'm "dug in" they can't hit me.
Finally, the multi-player hurls chunks! Even with a great connection the game is way to jerky.
I think Gear Box just rushed it and it shows. Maybe the PC version will be better or maybe Gear Box will release a patch soon for the Xbox version. I just feel a little cheated since I paid $70 for the Limited Edition. The action figure and the comic were kind'a cool though and I feel the extra $10 bucks was worth it. Just feel like the game wasn't worth the $60 I paid for it.
