I do not feel I am able to make any plans on my own due to the fact that I do not own any of the land we play on.
But I would like to make a plea that we do not let June and July be passed over without an event. Between Capt. Zak's property, the beach property and the arrangements the fellas from St. Louis have, is there any place we could put something together?

Well down here in STL my summer is pretty booked as is. I've got annual training in June and it looks like we're going to try and put on a 2 day RECONDO/Vietnam MILSIM in early July. I WAS going to do a beach landing D-Day-esque game in May but unfortunately most of our property is under water right now

Dont worry Charlie I think something might happen with an ETO game this summer. Its just that the PTO event will be our big event for the summer. Plus we may make it an annual thing and turn it into our on little nich here in the midwest seeing as we have the best climate to do the PTO in ( that is, hot as all hell in the summer lol)
I know I cant put any energy into putting on another event, the same probably goes for Ben too as we want to focus all our attention on this PTO game to get it really great to do again next year.
I say talk with Jeff and see if he has some land to use, come up with a game and set up a date, I know Ill end up comming if a game gets set up. I do have my finished ETO imp and I really want to try out my new guns before the PTO game. You can organize a small ETO event Charlie.
Also dont forget charlie that we will be having a training event for the PTO game, we simply have to figure out where and when.

Well it seems Capt Zak's land grabs in IL fell apart and we may have a shot at using the IN field but that's sketchy so far.
Anyone else have a suggestion of a midwest location we can go?

Well we do have the huge Two day PTO event being planned here in the midwest for august already.
He is talking about the summer months between now and the PTO event. I have been talking with Jeff and we can expect a two day training event to be held possibly in January.
The event will go over pacific tactics, it will cover how to take out bunkers (we will have actuall bunkers to use), how to counter certian types of attacks. It will cover weapons training, and many many other things.

Its better than not having one and we can get out into the field sooner, plus we can have something to do as soon as sumemr starts, since no one else has taken the initiative to make an event for the mid summer months between the start of summer and the PTO event.
Along with having the event early we will then have the rest of the summer to hammer out all of the details or problems we may have that can possibly turn up at the training event with things like grenade rules, squad tactics the scenerios, fortifications, all of those things. This will ensure that no one is scrambling to make last minuet changes to the event or other things. There is also a strong possibility that we will have WW2 HRS Japanaese reenactors attending this event, as several that have been told about this event have already bought the Tanaka Arisaka rifle in preperation for the event.
If people want an ETO event then it should be planned out, the initiative must be taken, and Im tied up with getting things ready for the PTO event.

So really instead of January as you said in your earlier post, you meant another month that starts with 'J' that is prior to August? Judging from your post in the Training Event thread I'm guessing that month is June.
I was simply confused by your use of the word January in place of the word June or July.
I understand now.

Nope, Sorry Charlie. MarneMan3rdID is what you see, MarneMan3rdID is what you get . Yeah Tom, shoot me a PM later on, and maybe we can brainstorm some ideas we can send higher up.

It may be too early to say anything as I don't want to get peoples hopes up, but I hope to checkout an old field once used by the WWII HRS (Blank-burners). It's an old silican sand pit. Buffalo Rock shooting range was out that way. It's just off RT6, east of Utica. About an hour west of the burbs of Chicago
