The latest batch is well under way and a large group will be going out followed by another batch a week later. I am on a business trip this week but when I get home should be able to quickly finish several up that are well under way. All sold orders will be enroute well before the CT event in May. Mid April anyway. A couplke shipped to the UK in understand have been held up for inspection by your customs but this simply delays arrives (at least on all shipped thus far)

I have received my final orders and am head down to get them all done and shipped. I worked literally all night a few nights ago to get a large group finished and shipped prior to a extended business trip and six of the most recent batch got shipped including two to Gordak and one more to Finland.
I will probably build another six for my own personal use and as rentals for local WW2 events. Jump to Destiny and Long Winter. At present I don't have a single finished Garand for my own use and that is just plain wierd. I take that back I have an all wood, one off, G&G which I still haven't created flush mounted clips for.

Here is the follow up comment from Steppe in Finland who received his weapon before last weekend.
"Happy days! The package arrived just in time for the weekend! Thanks for the additional stuff, the scarf got to see field use straight away during my night time guard shift and sleeping. Overall I'm very pleased with the rifle, works great and looks good! One thing dissapointed me though, the glued on front sling swivel snapped of the first time I swung the rifle over my shoulder. This I repaired with a screw and nut, which held well over the weekend. Anyways, the gun is just great, thank you very much for your service."
Thank you Steppe for the purchase (Over three dozen into Finland!!!!) Sorry about the sling hardware. I blend it in now as part of the stock augmentation and was sure the dynaglass would hold without screws. Obviously wrong! Something for other Garand owners to look out for and thanks to your feed back I will more thoroughly attach the sling hardware.
Enjoy and post some pictures!!!!

Ok 2nd Bat, i just bought my friends M1 Version 1 and brought it home and found out the front upper handgaurd (the part with the dowl rod in it) is able to turn a full 40 degrees alon with the front sight ( when your trying to kill germans its good to have a straight sight) and i can almost pull the hand gaurd up and off the outer barrel. any suggestions?

There are several things people have done to the earlier version to remdy that problem and it comes down to personal taste. The easiest thing is to firm it into place and insure it is exactly as it should be. (snug and aligned) then put a tab of jb weld on the forward edge of the rear gas assembly ring. Very little is needed to hold it firmly and securely in place and it can be easily removed for disassembly. What I currently do is drill a self tapping small hole in that ring and screw in a small screw that likewise holds the assembly and the handguard firmly in place. There are illustrations and photos of these processes in the discussion threads.

I could film one (I plan on starting this conversion in the next week or two) if It's OK with 2nd Bat and I succeed. If you want I could make it a Private Youtube Video or something so only people who visit this website could see it. This is just a maybe, no guarantees ...

I certainly have no probelsm with it. The more pseudo Garands the better. I just went through my latest nightmare with my stock supplier having gone bancrupt and leaving with my money and no stocks. I took my remaining plug and have more being made elsewhere to complete and fill pending orders. I hope to pick them all up this coming week and get them assembled and out.
Folks have been wonderfully patient and I very much appreciate it. Once caught up I'm going to take a break for a while.

I just went through the same thing when needing six guns for conversion prior to Jump To Destiny. Two places I placed orders from took my money and then only later informed me they didn't have them in stock. I finally gor a bunch from Airsoft Atlanta although I had to settle for the AGMs which although quite nice aren't quite as good as the CYMAs which have completely disappeared in the full length versions
I literally searched every where. Airsplat shows them but THEY absolutley DON'T have them in stock. They even have them listed on EBAY which is crazy given that they don't have any. Add to that my stock builder leaving me on the lerch by apparently going bancrupt (With a nice chunk of my money) and it's been a bad couple months.

This past six weeks have been beyond bizarre. The CYMA M14s dropped off the face of the earth, the fellow who makes my wood stocks took my money for an order of six stocks and went out of business, The clips I use to make my flush mounted clips out of are rarer then hens teeth and it's been hell to try and get replacement wood stocks that work. (I finally got some in this week which hopefully won't require too much modification.)
I had planned to get all my sold orders caught up and take a break for a while. As it is I'm working harder and producing less. I owe three rifles with wood stocks and several people extra bandoleers of clips and I hate that this is sooooo hard to get to done.
Everyone has been great and I appreciate their patience.

Wow sorry to hear this news. Good thing this happened now and not earlier in your production run I guess.
I hope I dont run into the same thing with my wood parts. Im meeting with a local guy tomarrow to build all my wood parts for me and even make wooden K-98 stocks for me.

The Cyma factory was raided and certain molds destroyed, which s why we don't see Cyma Thompsons, AGM, MP40s or Cyma M14s right now.

Wow. That sucks as the M14 and Thompson at least are excellent. I ordered six of them which have been backordered now for ever. With the permission of my customers I have been using the AGMs which are fine but in my opinion not as good as the CYMA M14.

CYMA M14s are again available although they were very slow getting them shipped. They are not completely identical to the original ones so clearly were re-done. They appear to be just as good. Great to have them back and available.
Still fighting with the wood stocks issue but have built up an additional grouping of my current version, standard Garands.

I've got a bunch more in production as we speak. Four going out tomorrow or weds at the latest. This next batch still show two as unsold so if someone is on the fence about getting one the wait will be fairly reasonable. (Inside two weeks?) I still haven't sorted out the wood lower stock situation and am having to hand build them to accomodate sold orders which is miserable. Hence it currently is not an option.
I keep getting requests for them and I suppose as long as folks want them and I have the time to build them I will. I have been extremely pleased with the last several batches and continue to come up with subtle enhancements to the builds and designs. It actually embarrases me to think about the first 150 or so which were a far cry from what I'm building now.

Great news on the progress. I shall post some images when it arrives.
It's a shame there is not an easy option on the wood stock, I have not yet held the modes plastic one but it looks the part, I guess that people like the idea that having wood brings it one step closer to reality and is more in line with the real weight. If you could ever make it easier to produce them you could always sell them as an additional extra for all tour previsious customers -

ultimately I am hoping that will be the case. The weight issue is pretty consistent whether a modified lower stock or actual wood. People often take my modified stocks as wood which is a nice compliment (Even when they hold them) I apply a lot of attention to the final finish work and military stocks look pretty non-ornate in any event. Especially after field use so they look right (IMO)
I've got 200 of the shotgun clips coming in which right now is my biggest delay in filling sold orders on otherwise finished guns. These base clips have been hard to come by and with shipping get kinda spendy. Converting them is not hard but time consuming. I close my eyes at night and see them in my sleep when I'm full on into production mode. They are due in tomorrow so I'll be converting them through the weekend.
My wife thinks I'm nuts. We've been married 64 years so she should know.
